phaserunner xt60

I was reading somewhere that the phaserunner was having some issues and Grin figured out the battery xt60 prongs on the phaserunner was the issue. if people were always plug/unplugging the battery from the phaserunner the spark would pit the surfaces or the tongs were getting loose. I made this little xt60 coupling, its about 2 inches long. I used a tiny bit of silicone to keep it in the phaserunner the other end the battery connects and if theres an issue with the xt60 it will be an easy fix.

Those connectors have Anti-Spark XT60 and XT90

Found the XT90AS, but I'm sure I saw XT60AS some time ago on HK website.

You are not supposed to plug and unplug the controller every ride. Use the ignition switch or display on/off, or battery on/off switch. All of these are low power switches and will not degrade after hundreds of cycles. You can use the battery switch to depower too if you take it off for charging.

I know youre not supposed to unplug the battery all the time. I share my batteries between my 3 bikes. my boys have 3 bikes. so we have 7 different batteries. a lot of times we will grab another battery and throw it in the back rack bag or the backpack or somewhere else on the bike. if I want to take 1 of my paralleled 10lb batteries off my bike so its not so heavy, I unplug it, sparks happen, xt60s get damaged.

now that I just learned about spark arrestors, cant find xt60 spark arrestors but I can make some with an ohm resistor or use xt90 spark arrestor with xt60 adapters.

the picture of that phaserunner is on my Marin under the seat, it has a 10 ah battery on the frame, keeps the bike light. if I want range I put 10 ah in my backpack.

im not trying to be snarky, just explaining my situation and sharing what ive done to my phaserunner for other phaserunner owners who may not know what the spark does to the phaserunner
