Re: What kind of BMS can i use on a 52v 14s 8p battery?

I'd recommed going on this website Bestech Power.
http://www.bestechpower.com

My personal specific choice would be this model:

Re: Stolen Bike Map - Moncton

When I pass by Leah Jane's BnB (146 Church Street), I always see a bunch of Hobos hanging out around the place. Some seem to be making drug deals. If you look at the driveway while you pass by the place, there's always a ton of used bikes and bike parts laying around, with some people swapping parts...

Re: What BMS should I pick for 30A BBSHD motor ?

My logic... For example If you got a battery thats rated for 80A for example a 14S4P of LG HG2 (20A cells each). And you got a BBSHD rated for 30A.... Then chose a BMS that can take as high a current as the battery can provide or a bit lower. Example 40A to 80A BMS. Not more though... This will ensu...

Re: 30A BMS or 40A BMS for Bafang BBSHD 1000W?

What battery should I choose for my BBSHD motor? The motor runs at 30A. Some people say 30A BMS would be better others say 40A BMS would be better. This seems like a difficult topic especially for a complete confused newbie like me. What would be your pick? For my BBSHD i chose a BMS thats designed...

Re: Fast Charging - What is the secret?

The lithium chemistry and electrode are important factor imho. Lithium titanate can be charge very quickly and has incredible cycle life. Lithium iron nanophosphate cells from A123 probably have a decently high charge rate. Otherwise... NMC high discharge cells can probably take a pretty decent char...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

i think we can both agree that almost nobody -not even mechanics- are spending 500+ on a ammeter unless you are doing specialized stuff. that is well outside the range of what any consumer would spend and also not even many regular elechickens would buy. and most ammeters ( up to prosumer grade) si...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

If your really want so see the amperage spike, can be done with an ameter shunt and an oscilloscope. The shunt will read voltage drop a across it' s terminals that will be proportionnal to the current (for example : 50mV for 100A). Then the oscilloscope can graph the current surge in function of tim...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

I don't know what's the amperage load of the starter during cranking, but most car battery load tester have a 100A load resistor at 12V... And for a 600 CCA battery, if the voltage doesn't drop below 10.4V, seems like the battery is in good shape. Mine only dropped to 11.01V so I think I'm good to g...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

Starting your car just to maintain your battery seems unwise, expecially if the car doesn't get fully warmed up. Modern cars' computers draw enough current to justify a maintainer charger if you aren't using the car daily. If you can't plug in, attach a 'booster' battery that you can easily bring i...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

sure, you can disconnect it, and keep it on the maintainer. But then the car computer resets every time, and it runs shitty for a few miles each drive. Just what you need in really cold weather. Yeah, this will work, till it leaves you stranded someplace, and its below zero. I get it that a new one...

Re: Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

OK, sorry, to add to the detail... When connected to the charger (Turnigy Reaktor) , at either 12v (6s pb), or 10v (5s pb), the charger checks ok and attempts to charge for 10 secs or so. But no amps flow and the charger builds the voltage up to 13.8v before shutting off on. “Full charge”. Also, wh...

Thank you all for all the inputs. Will try to crank my car this week end and give you an update then. Right now battery seems pretty good. Left it rest for 12 hours unplugged and still reading 13.22V (there is hope). Putting it back onto the maintainer charger until this week-end and we'll see how i...

Car flooded Lead acid Batteries - Question for Lead Acid expert (in search of lost wisdom)

Don't use my subary impreza much these days. On september 1st 2019, did a 1000 miles round trip and by then my ammeter showed close to 0 amps (battery fully charged, no current going in). Since then, I only started my car once every one or two week and went for a 15-20 minute ride so the alternator ...

Re: WZKD3615KA controller maximum overvolt voltage?

I would open the controller and look at the capacitor ratings.
If they are rated 63 V max, you could try running it at 48V (13S) or even 52V (14S)....
You'd likely gain 30% top speed, but acceleration will remain the same.

If the caps are 50V rated, don't risk it though.

The solution to all this is to buy a bike lock made of materiel much tougher than disk grinders... Very high hardness ratio. Basically buy a lock made of diamond carbon.
