Re: 2016 GNG EXTREME BELT MID DRIVE BUILD. PROS & CONS

Second stage has ratio of 6.66 to 1. The 219H chain is running on 12T and 80T sprockets and is preloaded with spring tensioner. I only had to shorten the tensioner’s post to put it in line with a chain. I was not happy with the first stage build (5 to 1 ratio). The small pulley 16T was slipped and t...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Hi guys, I have a GNG 1500W mid drive kit on my bike and I hooked up CA3 to enhance throttle operation. Can you post settings for CA3 running a GNG motor or a small block motor so I have some kind of starting point? Should I upgrade to the newest firmware or do it later? I still have a steep learni...

2016 GNG EXTREME BELT MID DRIVE BUILD. PROS & CONS

About 4 months ago, I started to read about e-bikes. I didn't have a clue what I was getting into so I searched through the pages of the Endless Sphere posts. It is a jungle of info, and I'm starting this topic to help potential e-bike builders make their life a little easier. First of all, you shou...

Re: The Beast Mid Drive. In Beta Testing.

These are very nice kits. All custom mounts were CNC milled and because of that these kits are step up from laser or water jet cut kits. Precision is a key factor in making these kits rigid. All sharp corners are CNC chamfered. Unfortunately, all this will add to the cost. Are you using LR big block...

Re: Klein Mantra Cyclone build - Going for PAIN!

Oh my. If I call my bike anything it's 'please don't kill me' or some profane name when I survive my mistake. Other than that, I don't usually 'name' objects tho. But some people do, so how bout 'kleinspeed' or 'death mantra' per brand specific- but if you're naming it, likely it will mean somethin...

Could you build a pack like this? 14s4p https://electricfatbike.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/img_20151222_0824557521.jpg I have the case on order, but it isn't here yet so I can't give you exact inside dimensions. I know that 13s4p fits (the case comes with a frame of that size) and 14s4p fits if yo...

I live in the place that brought you Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols. The events were at a Smiths store (Kroger) they were done by a group of school girls. The one using a pair of pliers in the nipples of my nuvinci hub. I grabbed her by her hair and removed the pliers from her hand and threatene...

Re: Sino/Silent Controller 24-120V 12kW Program/GPS/Options-

Ecyclist I think luna has your controller for sale for 49.95. I wonder why. Is it the one in the cyclone kit ? Is that the kit you are talking about ? No, I bought GNG 2016 PREMIUM BELT DRIVE kit. My goal was to build mid drive with planetary transmission but in order to shorten the learning curve ...

Re: Sino/Silent Controller 24-120V 12kW Program/GPS/Options-

I don't see why it would not work but can't be sure until i is tested. That should work fine but there's some chance the motor could exceed the e-RPM rating of the controller. Do you know what the motor RPM is (before the gearing)? I'm planning on using 52V battery so my RPM will be about 3500.[/qu...

Re: Sino/Silent Controller 24-120V 12kW Program/GPS/Options-

Thank you for your reply. Actually GNG motor has 120 degree halls. Taking this as a fact, will the Sino/Controller work with the GNG mid drive motor 67-kV and 8 pole? That should work fine but there's some chance the motor could exceed the e-RPM rating of the controller. Do you know what the motor ...

Re: GNG started selling just their motors alone

i was wondering, what if a 2 stage planetery gear could be attached to it's front, and then the chain would be connected directly to the cassette? i think it's called a direct drive or something, then won't you be able to use a normal crank without the freehwheel, and have a freewheel on the jacksh...

So, with this type of gear box you will be cranking two sets of sprockets, one engaged and one free?

So, these are LightningRod brackets with additional hardware made by "eride" to improve the stiffness of the mount.
This is like international space station. Chinese, American and Scandinavian cooperation.

About 45 Nm. Give or take 2 Nm.
