neptronix: First of all someone might consider as a personal insult to hurt his nick, particularly when it is only 5 letters long. :? Does "Padja" mean something in english? I knew that my reaction to eMark would turn out exactly that way, I responded to him here only because of his spam via ...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

eMark you are acting as a small kid which wants a new toy. I am saying that because you do not understand the factual explanation which I give you in this topic. It is your business if you would like to present yourself like that, but your approach only insults docware and his great work for communi...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

There is also one puny HW issue with EBC-X0510 and almost all other ZKETECH testers. Chinese engineers for some reason omitted to connect PE pin from the power inlet to the tester metal chassis. That means that tester is not comply with EU safety regulations (I think that even Chinese ones) for safe...

Re: LG HG2L

Yes, I forgot to add resuts of cycle life test of HG2L to Budget light forum. I stopped it after 200 cycles because the results of the HG2L sample from Nkon was also slightly worse than original "brown" HG2. But original HG2 is excellent cell and so results of HG2L should be considered also as very ...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

After some analyzing I have to say that it was my stupidity. During tapping on the not responding touch pad (dry fingers ?) I probably minimized EBX soft (not realizing it), which of course disappeared from the screen. Trying to find it again by switching alt + tab was not successful. So I was open...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

I have some new data from cycling. Panasonic PF at 250 cycles keeps trend both in capacity decreasing and DCIR rise. LG M36 continue with very slow capacity decline. M36 DCIR got reverse trend, at 250 cycles is lower than 150 and 200 cycles. Can´t exclude my measuring error, trying to find out what...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

eMark it seems to me, that for some reason you did not understand the idea of my message. Because I went through it in my beginning I know that there are no other options than I described in my first post in this topic. docware has a 1pc of EBC-X0510 tester, this is an 8-channel tester. He is using ...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Good thread so far, been said many times though can you test 30q? Not everyone wants to build a 30kg battery out of 29e's OK, as 30Q is also very popular at the opposite side of the planet, it is next cell to test. :) Initial 30Q capacity is slightly above 3000 mAh, initial 29E capacity is slightly...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Just the last comment about calendar aging topic before I went banned from ths forum as heretic. Common sense told me that if ca 10 years ago was problem to keep lithium cell charging to 4.2V unattended without fire extinguisher and then if the cell survived the charging process, it was dead in 3 mo...

Wow, Pajda that is very brave statement with regard to the fact you never tested calendar ageing. What is your opinion based on ? Do you consider both studies I mentioned also worthless ? Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

My unwanted remarks to calendar aging: 1) If there are few people who professionally measure the cycle life, there is almost no people who measuring calendar aging and give his results for free. I am also not measuring this particular parameter, at least for now. 2) My personal opinion is that almos...

At first, I can confirm that this results are in line with my measurements. The first parameter which have a huge impact ...

Re: New 14s battery pack, US18650VTC6 vs NCR18650GA

Unfortunately, I have realized that IEC DCIR data can be also interesting a little be late, started from cycle No 100. Have no initial data. I thought so. That gives me a good feeling that I am not alone who sometimes forgets. This has happened to me many times and when one realizes it after severa...

Re: New 14s battery pack, US18650VTC6 vs NCR18650GA

From my point of view the most expensive are always the measured data in quality which posted docware in this topic. So you can decide if the price of the cell worth its real parameters. To do such measurement costs a lots of effort (=money) where the most expensive item is not the equipment but to ...

Re: New 14s battery pack, US18650VTC6 vs NCR18650GA

Good news for Jan-Erik-86 : also first data from cycling LG M36 and Panasonic PF are more favourable for M36. Cycling parameters are similar to the real conditions : charge 1 A to 4,1 V, discharge 2,5 A to 3,3 V (PF) or 3,4 V (M36), ambient temperature 25 ± 2°C. That is what I am talking about... :...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

Hello, Some months ago I've read somewhere that the Sanyo NCR2070C 20700 3500mAh - 30A is an excellent high power cell with a very good life. Can someone test it to see if it's true? Of course it has lower capacity but it has smaller size also. Maybe it's a good candidate. From my experience I do n...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

I am not saying that there is no dependency, I am trying to say that there is no general rule to evaluate this dependency (or at least I did not find it). If I use example you can find cell which have after 10% capacity fade ca 30% rise of DCIR (good one) and you can have another cell (with similar ...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

Well, if we are on the topic... What is the highest capacity I can find in Li Ion cylindrical? (above 21700 of course) Sorry, I do not understand the language of your tribe. You mean what is the biggest cylindrical cell on the market? If you are looking for best absolute energy density in cylindric...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

By the way he asked for 8C discharge cell and 40T can do this, I am thinking that nobody sensible will expect that 40T or similar cell design can do much more than 250 cycles under this continuous load or the discharge end cell temperature will be significantly lower than 80°C. from my tests those ...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

I don't understand the chart, what are the other IR numbers on the other columns? DCIR IEC is a standardized "two stage method" of measuring DCIR, which requires slightly better equipment to perform, DCIR 10s is "single stage" method, which is very easy to perform, you have to just measure the volt...

Re: Samsung 40T and other cells like it?

Got this one brand new 40T cell by accident and it reads 7 milliohm internal resistance for a 4Ah cell that is not much bigger than a 18650 (a 21700). Until now I didn't know about it and am looking for an 8C that has better power density than the 25R and this one seems to be it only I read that it...

only Tesla Model S and X from the known BEV manufacturers. Rivian and FaradayFuture uses 21700.
