Re: Advice on Hallomotor ebike

Hi, I got a Cube 29er of them, but it didn't last long. Those guys from hallomotor drilled two 20mm holes into the downtube. They're not in the mood to shorten the cable harness, so they hide it that way. That's what happened: https://picload.org/image/rrplilap/img_20160118_153156.jpg https://picloa...

Re: After years of dreaming luna cycles sold its first compl

are you talking about lectric cycles? Yes of course. There's not so many competitors to copy this setup from. Their entry price is 2995$. Yeah we could mount a bbs02 if we wanted to I'd like to see a sample if you ever did so. A stock BBS02 does not fit to a 92mm BB, better keep on selling bare kit...

Re: After years of dreaming luna cycles sold its first compl

Here is your complete kit from Luna with all the upgrades you mentioned... ...Bafang BBS02... $2323 total for your bike from LUNA.... Your offer on the webshop is 2850$ now.. That's pretty close to the price tag of your competitor. How comes? In addition you're not capable to mount a BBSO2, is that...

if this will squeeze on to a 73mm BB please let me know. Yes, at pswpower.com you can choose 73mm BB size version. http://pswpower.com/peng/iview.asp?KeyID=dtpic-2015-93-QDKT.6P4CE And there's a new display called XH18-LCD . Re: BBSxx tachometer?

So if you want a % rpm gauge, and let's say 110rpm equals 100%rpm equals 10.0kph on the speedometer.
Then you have 10.000meters per hour/( 110rpm*60min per hour). That would be 1.51 meter wheel circumference and a single magnet. Would this work?
Probably I miscalculated some.

Re: BBSxx tachometer?

You can use a cheap speedometer and glue the sensor fairly easy onto the cover of the second reduction gear. Then make use of two magnets on the chainwheel and set 66" or 167cm as wheel circumference. What you can read on the speedo is rpm instead of kph right away. 8)

Speedsensor is necessary, but you get extension from almost every distributor.
No speedsensor at all all means error 21 all the time.

Re: Alpine passes at low speed with Mid-drive ?

Is it the same chain that goes from the cassette to the chainring to the motor? Or are there two different chains? There's only one chain, from crankset to rear hub, as you know it from normal bike. With a BBSHD I strongly recommend an E-bike chain like KMC or Connex. .What makes a motor overheat? ...

It seems to me you have done alot of reading yet, and you're fairly right with your assumptions. I live on a steep volcanic island, let me share my experiences. Before I bought my BBS02 I test rode a direct drive from BionX. It became hot very fast and drained the battery almost instantly, so going ...

Re: Best motor type for cargo bike?

I dont understand why I will loose the coaster brake if I use mid drive motor? The brake is in the rear wheel so it should not matter if I use mid drive? A middrive needs to have a double freewheel. Otherwise it would put your legs in curlers while driving with throttle only. And your bakfiet is li...

So, I'm not advertising. But there's ebike-solutions.com in Heidelberg/ Germany. They have a staff of 25+ and their own workshop that can deal with almost any problem that may occur. Re: Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

That GM32.750 you mention is just a BBSHD with a 750W stamp for legal purpose. How comes it has exactly the same technical specifications like the GM32.1000, and optics as well? The ES Wiki has always been a reliable source of information. Right now the info about BBS02 is probably wrong and mislead...

is that the BBSHD controller on the right, or a new style BBS02 compared with the old BBS02 on the left? That was my thinking too. There's no New BBS02 listed, neither at any vendor I know, nor at Bafang page itself. What sense would it make to build a new version that looks like a BBSHD with more ...

Yeah, starting seems to be tricky. He has a right throttle for the ebike hubmotor to gain speed and a lockable left throttle for starting the propeller. So he has hands free after liftoff to steer the paraglider. At least he should have. As you can see this Skyrider one is a prototype with some safe...

Re: Spacers for the Bafang BBSHD

You can file away pretty much of the bbshd housing in this chainstay area with no problem, so it does't rub on your chainstay.
If you'd go for a 100mm in this case you worsen the the chainline. The Alloy housing of the bafang is pretty thick, so you can use the angle grinder :D

Re: BBSHD and Full Suspension MTB or go hardtail?

The Bafang BBSHD is available for different BB sizes, from 68mm to 120mm I guess. So this will not be an issue.
Better check you donorbike for a straight downtube, or you'll have your middrive hanging down like an udder. :)
