Re: Mongoose Cx's!!! fun

The stock motor is fine for lightweight riders, but the 'big-block' motor with a quiet sine-wave controller is a nice upgrade for more power. Cool. I was pretty set on the 12 fet Infineon. Figured that was plenty of controller for the bht. But if there is a comparable (price and amp/volt capable) p...

Re: Mongoose Cx's!!! fun

I got some good pics of the inside of the box but there too big to upload.
I can take more when I take the box out and switch from the 36v pack apart to make a 48v one.
plenty of vids coming though.
maybe I can just use youtube for the picks too.
or some converter

Mongoose Cx's!!! fun

Picked a couple these up.
One will have the bht big block prob 12fet infineon and the other I'll keep the 450w in it with a 48v 1000w 26a 54v max brushed controller I found for 18 bucks till I burn them both out or get board.

Thanks man. Since this I have taken it all off and ran a the gnh big block in it. But ran it wrong and didn't find out till just yesterday. I still want to build this but it's on the back burner for now... Here is a video where I show the big block in the fat bike but its all dark so its hard to see...

Re: BIG BLOCK alternative Motor

Haha Oops! So how I had it must have worked but poorly. I matched all the wires hall and phase and it ran like a top. Thing sounds cool as heck. I don't think all infineons have the same color corresponding phases. Can't wait to get it in the mongoose cx. I might as well take it apart and get the sh...

Re: BIG BLOCK alternative Motor

+1 I can only say that 60amp at 72v constant is way too much  I ran it at this for maybe 3/4 a mile testing it in a fat bike and it got too hot to touch. I had to turn the amps up to get things to spin. I since disassembled to use the motor in a cx450. building... Just checking Allin...

Okay so those don't even keep them balanced. Not Good. How about this one? Looks good to me, but I really don't know. A little on the big side but configurable to any size xS boards that can be stacked or displaced. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/3S-to-9S-lithium-battery-balancer-which-keep...

Re: Active BMS For Sale

I really want an active bms.

Why is a capacitive bms shitty?

What will or could happen when using this type of active bms?

What are your recommendations for active bms's.

Anything reasonably priced with reasonable results?

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Just ordered mine, with the following options, (all of which were free of charge): 5T winding 4mm phase wires. This is twice the "stock" diameter and involves a different shaft and side cover. You lose the brake rotor mount, which honestly I wasn't really going to use anyway. Hopefully this means a...

Re: SPECIAL OFFERS for ADAPTTO controllers and BMS boards

Could you explain what do you mean by slip mode? If you mean regen activation when releasing the throttle grip yes this could be implemented by the following: 1) Turn BRK setting to NO 2) In the BRAKE LIMITS (Brk limits) section slightly turn the graph to left from its original position Okay so by ...

Re: MXUS 3000 Hub Motor

The 96V controllers madin88 mentioned are 96V nominal (vs 72V), with headroom up to 125V or so. Different FETS and caps.
So 28s lipo should be no problem with moderate ~50 amps. Right?

Re: MXUS 3000 Hub Motor

I've been looking at those sabvoton controllers a lot lately. I like how the slip regen is programmable. You can set the rpm it engages and how many amps it regens. So the 72v one can do 95 that's good info there. I wonder what the 96v one is good up to? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DC-96V6000W-pr...

Re: SPECIAL OFFERS for ADAPTTO controllers and BMS boards

I don't know if this has been talked about already but. Can you program the slip mode. Like set the amps regen in slip mode and the rpm in which slip engages. Also the same with regen braking. I understand it's possible to have variable regen with this controller, just need to connect to a throttle....

Re: Finally RUNNING!! page 5 ride vids Here!! need better qu

Very interesting build! I would love to try this. Just to put the ca calibration at rest you could just use a battery with a light bulb in series to limit current and an amp meter in series to compare with what the ca sais. In regards to using the cro for a mid drive. Have you thought about using a ...
