Re: parallel different packs

Well then I learned something new. More Ah comes from the bigger pack, proportionally less from the smaller, similar C-rates, no problem. Let me get this straight now. Going to the extreme/physically-unattainable example of having a pack thats 20V(fully charged) and 1Ah paralleled with a pack that i...

Re: parallel different packs

Paralleling different packs means when you connect them in parallel they should be very close in voltage otherwise one pack will instantaneously discharge into the other pack. 0.10V or 0.05V is a good difference. Next you have to worry about draining one pack faster then the next. As an example, if ...

Re: 48V500W Rear Driving BikeConversion Kit

My advice is to not use the LCD display, but I dont think you can use the controller without it. Which would mean buying a new controller, which maybe an option for you. The voltage drop after you connect things up, is not promising.

Re: Chinese moped motor

It sounds like the used scooters for 80 euros is a make-a-hobby project. For the same kind of money, you could get a generic ebay rear wheel hub motor kit and slap it on your old circa 1990's bicycles and still go a thousand more places then a motorcycled scooter made for roadways and nothing else.

Re: Cagiva / MV Agusta Motors (& KTM) electric freerider

You could buy a lot of entry level full suspension bicycles and slap on some BBSHD's and get a way better battery.... with 8500 euros
....and the entry level bike would probably be a lot better then that artistic nut buster

Re: Repairs Upgrades and more

Purchased Vee Tire Chicane 26 x 3.5 for C$28 which is uber cheap compared to even CrappyTire wanting $55 for their Kenda K1188 fat tire. On the same order I also purchased a Schwalbe FatBike MTB Tube (3.5 "to 4.8") for C$12.50 vs generic 26x4 tube $20 I pumped the tire up, Presta Valve was left open...

With the popularity of 3d printers, there should be someone making custom throttles with quality plastiques!

The feeling of being stolen from, when your out and about is a horrible feeling. Taking the long walk/bus/ride home.
Had my battery taken last year.

I think I just had some faulty wire... I rewired a questionable connection and it working again. Thanks for the help! Jeeesh I hate when that happens. I have an iffy throttle that acts up in the rain. Will go wide open throttle when the throttle is suppose to be off, then when I turn the throttle o...

Re: Holding your pants and your battery...

Too easy for theft. Use multiple hose clamps and round off the corners on the bolt and epoxy the slot. Then hide the hose clamp under some black duct tape. Then some black zip ties to fool them bastids. Get a black sharpie and paint over the white Unit Pack Power print. How do you like the mud guard...

If your lucky, its a fuse. If your not so lucky, its a fet. If your not lucky, its time to fish. How much was the controller you bought? How much is your time worth to you? How much is it to buy a new controller? Maybe buy a cheap controller? Since I got the website open from another post, https://e...

Re: Repurposing a BionX 48V battery for generic ebike use

My point was get rid of the BionX "p.o.s." bms and go either or, BMS'less or aftermarket BMS. Either or, ying or yang. Bestech has quality BMS' but their Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is 2. https://bestechpower.com/ I see EVFITTING aka Greentime has BMS' https://evfittinggreentime.aliexpress.com/stor...

Re: considering a BBS02 mtb build for city riding

Do not worry about 750W or 1000W
Only worry about riding with common sense
Then slap a 750W sticker on the motor
Buy the BBSHD!
