Re: What tire is the best?

I should've specified my type of riding, a noob mistake on my part. Well I guess I would be buying 2 sets of tires. Thinking I might do a little DIY studded action on my current tires for the winter, or leave them be until they wear out. I have to think about my style of riding. I love trail riding,...

Re: gas price thread

I paid $0.759/liter for regular unleaded yesterday. Today its $0.849/liter GasBuddy is a good program to use to find the cheapest gas in your area for Canada, perhaps USA. For awhile there I wasnt paying $1.20'ish, since I was on the poormans transportation vehicle aka bus. FYI Car2Go in some major ...

Re: MXUS 3000W V2 spoke lengths on 26" rim

Which spoke calculator is that? a link would be nice, not seen that one before. Oh, measure your own ERD...some specs are a bit 'out' Measure it so it equals where you want the ends of the fully tightened spoke ends to sit, ideally just inside the nipple head to flush or just protruding very slight...

Very cool. Isnt it better to have 2 wheels up front and 1 wheel in the back, like the mass produced by ?Kawasaki? North America crotch rocket trike?

Re: Use of inductive dryer motors in a test bed

I agree with the above member. Dont waste time or money on a testing bench, just build. Thats what I did. Forget about my first ebike being a 500W kit, no, forget about my first ebike kit being 1000W or 1500W. What did I end up doing? Well instead of buying a complete used 1982 AMC Eagle 4x4 car, or...

This is my rim - 26" Wide Downhill Crysatlyte Rim (31mm wide rim) - $56 These are my available tires to choose from. Will these tires fit my rim? Green Font Color is what I was thinking of buying. I think because one of the Maxxis High Rollers folds and maybe whatever EXO means its $30 more. Maxxis ...

Re: My MXUS 3000W V2 Build

Here is what I have learned from diving headfirst into a DIY ebike build. 1) Should have bought a 1000W rear 26" ebike kit from yescomusa, then batteries as mentioned previously. That is quite a statement. Yescomusa plus battery gets you on the road in a blink but it is hardly a comparison on the p...

My MXUS 3000W V2 Build

Here is my build. I made some mistakes in buying because of my impulsive habits. 1) I should have made one big order from HobbyKing, instead of 3 different orders. 2) I should have bought a battery package from em3ev.com, ebikes.ca or any other reputable online company. 3) Again one order from Lyen ...

I never realized cnet was like that. My trust in them has been shaken.
I guess I kind of always knew in the back of my mind, very common, right, for companies to do that.

Re: What do you think is the best Value E Bike on the market

You can buy ultra cheap bikes at http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/fat-bikes.htm Only problem is they ship for free to within mainland usa, canadian buyers got to dropship it. Not sure how overseas people would do it. Go to yescomusa buy a kit! You are set for around a g-note! Batteries, and a cha...

Re: DIY Battery Pack Question - Connectors, BMS or Alarms

Those 4mm bullet connectors are tough to solder with 10AWG wire. I am on the hunt now for some local 12AWG wire. I messed up the last order with 8AWG and 10AWG. Gunna drill some holes in some wood to hole em in place and go from there. The 3rd hand from Hobbyking is a joke. Series is 12AWG, parallel...

Quick question on rim size preference

I bought a 20" Alex rim from ebay, I realize now its to small. I should have bought a 24" rim, now I am thinking maybe just stay with the 26" rim for my mxus 3000w v2 motor. http://www.alexrims.com/product_detail.asp?sc=1&cat=19&cat2=21&pid=73 I can buy this rim from a local national retailer, Alex ...

Then parallel charge them. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__5606__Genuine_IMAX_B8plus_Charger_Discharger_1_8_Cells.html IMAX B8plus.jpg My plan was t...
