Re: P14 setting on SW-900 display

Ok I got the kit installed and powered it up. Max setting for the current limit on this SW900 is 40A, not 20A as it states in the included manual. I guess this was just outdated info. Bike is running good. They dont care what they throw into the box for a manual. Your lucky if the manual is in Engl...

+4C today, wind chill brought it down to +1C, sun was out. Tomorrow about the same, but Wed +10C. Went fishing today, will do again everyday this week. Rode 25km before I juiced up (for 45 minutes at 8A 36V) at my usual spot for the neighborhood, McDonalds patio with seats, in the shade which slight...

Re: Torquing the pedals on -- what special tool is needed?

using the rear wheel as leverage to tighten the pedals on (with the bike in the stand) is key.. not sure if you understand it but the pedals need to fully bottom into the crank threads, that's not easy to do without grease, a long pedal wrench, AND the rear wheel used as leverage all together.. unl...

Re: Torquing the pedals on -- what special tool is needed?

I have broken a half dozen crank arms due to the pedal coming loose, making the whole 1pc. crank useless and the arm useless. Perhaps it'd be worth it for you to get one of these tap and die bushing kits . ( procedure ) I have broken mostly used gear, I bought a box of used cranks, arms, and gears ...

Re: Torquing the pedals on -- what special tool is needed?

I had the problem of wheels coming loose even when I tightened them and put grease on. I have a few threads posted. I just use blue loc-tite now and tighten them a lot by feel. I know everyone will say use grease or lube, but blue loc-tite is actually working for me. I have broken a half dozen crank...

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/02/world/coronavirus-earth-seismic-noise-scn-trnd/index.html Around the world, seismologists are observing a lot less ambient seismic noise -- meaning, the vibrations generated by cars, trains, buses and people going about their daily lives. The whole reason to buy the Holmes nipples was because the nipples had a wider head (6mm OD) to them, normally found on 9 or 10awg nipples but had threads for 12/13/14 spokes. The shipping was always to expensive to ship to Canada. The only other way around it was to us a washer, and dish it with a ...

Re: Voltage? 48v Controller has big 63v and smaller 50v caps

There was another fella here on ES that used a DC-DC converter for something like a 5S2P (18V) to get 10S (36V), there is efficiency losses with DC-DC so some power is lost in the switching of the DCDC. How much I have no clue. Cheap way to get the voltage you want tho.

Re: Voilamart 1500W Internal Controller and Amps

I wonder if it is possible to swap out the capacitors and mosfets for ones rated at a higher voltage? Would this then be able to run on a 72V battery? Its entirely possible to swap out caps and fets, and have a higher voltage controller. Be cheaper and faster just to buy a cheap controller though, ...

I have never felt an earth quake, though some have hit west coast inside Canada and I never felt anything, being on the east side of the mountains.

A tornado would be cool to see, them tornado chasers do bring along paid customers.

Re: 48v 50a bms or 52v 30a bms

Get the battery that matches whatever battery charger you have. If you dont have a charger, then I'd look into the makeup of each battery, the 18650 cells being used, looks like one battery would be a 10A discharge cell, vs a 20A discharge cell. So working the battery less, lengthens the life span o...

Re: Vee Chicane Tires - Load capability?

You may have to switch it up and go to a smaller motorcycle/moped rim with suitable tire of your requirements. A 1.40 wide rim is easily purchased, along with a 1.60 width rim, and once you get into the 3.00" wide tire, lots available for purchase. Not sure what a 19" x 3.00+ setup is diameter wise....

Not sure about OP self promo comment. OP seems genuine to me. If you probably know ads aren't appropriate, but you don't care and put ...
