Your last picture of your trike reminds me of peewees bicycle.

I am sure you'll figure out installing the bacdoor software and all that, http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/vi ... 25#p978256 but this is probably a good post to start with on reading.

Maybe consider an adaptto max-e? You might appreciate the variable regenerative braking that can be configured with an adaptto setup. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym0afjek2LM By frying, I am guessing you mean over heating it. Aikema responded within 15 minutes with a quote, $100 for 8 boards and harnesses with EMS shipping. Done! Cheaper than any other option. Ananda responded with a completely confused salesperson talking about pedal sensors. I did attach the motor photo with missing sensor clearly available, so I'm be...

The nylon gears aren't perfect when made, so initially the noise volume is going to be louder. After riding a certain distance there should be a noticeable reduction in noise output as much of the excess material is worn away.

Neat project, I really like this concept, seems like a great idea. I'd probably buy a few of these things to use on an electric bicycle. it shouldn't matter if i do the continuity test.. right? It's easier to assume and harder to know. Continuity tests allow you to know that a connection is made, what you do is up to you. this is the exact kit i have. brand new http://olx.ro/oferta/bicicleta-electrica-kit-roata-spate-26-1000w-48v-lc...

I haven't looked around at all just yet. ;) I wanted to see if someone local has the part first, and how much it would cost, before I looked it up online. I did some searching for 'fsp motor coupling 3364002' and plenty of options pop up, some claiming to be OEM. Have you looked around much? Ebay and amazon seem to have this part or at least replacements for it in no short supply for under 10 dollars.
