not sure if this has been talked about but could we not bore the id of the freewheel to the od of the splines and then mill a keyway that mirrors one of the grooves and slip a key in ? Once you've opened out the bore to the major spline diameter, there's not enough material left to do a through key...

wow i suck . not only am i just realizing your need for the outriggers on that rig but i complain about my sore 40+ year old knees as they pop and fissle for the first half hour every morning (life time of construction and dh skiing). but they still work and im getting less than a fraction done comp...

thanks for the tips guys . been looking at the castle stuff to but i do like the 60 volts the kontronik boasts. we shall see , im going to have to hit the shop saturday and see what sprockets will clear the chain stay on the rear bb. with what i have in mind that tooth count will determine the rest ...
