Re: Good tire brands? Wide white wall.

i find the tire to be the best at handling overall for packed trails and pavement/bumpy pavement. they are 40 dollar tires but i have not use the hookworms since i found the specialized rhythm first. my average cruise speed is between 28-32 mph and live on a 1 mile dirt road before i hit town. you w...

Re: Good tire brands? Wide white wall.

i use 26" x 2.3" specialized rhythm tires($40.00 LBS) great multi-use tire with tread covering the entire sidewalls. It has minimal rolling resistance but yet enough tread to ride packed dirt trails without fear of a cruiser or hookworm tire kicking out on you.

Re: Ebike security

I was thinking about how awesome and fast and fun the thing is gonna be....then 2000 dollars later im at the mall and don't even have a lock for it. So ...

Re: ebay LiFePO4 sellers to avoid: ep-battery, volgood

also i forgot to add my 2 cents about the chargers. Its pretty funny that they have another company logo under their Vpower sticker. If you peel the Vpower sticker off carefully you will see the chargers instructions, also if you flip the charger over it has a few sentences in english on the back. T...

Re: ebay LiFePO4 sellers to avoid: ep-battery, volgood

Im running a 48v 10ah vpower lifepo4 as well. Yes the shipping did take 2 months. And yes the cells are still to this day unbalanced. the only time ive ever seen a green light on the charger(meaning its completed charge) is the first time i topped it off after taking it out of the box it shipped in....

Re: Controller just stopped, but can be "rebooted"

i run a 10ah lifepo4 also. And i had the same problem. an easy way to tell if its your controller or battery cutting out for me was to look at the battery gauge on my throttle.(not sure if you have one). Mine would still show full power when the controller cut out and would show no voltage at all(no...

Re: Manufacturers to avoid

The GM kit was on back order for 33days. meaning they sold me something they didnt have in stock at the time. T...

Re: Battery fell off - lucky this time

i completed my ebike only about 1 month ago. i purchased a GM 48v 1000w kit and a 48v 10ah lifepo4 off ebay. I have only run the battery to its LVC once(witch left me with a nice hilly ride home towing a radioshack with my legs). I sort-of regret only getting a 10ah pack, especially after reading so...

running 60v on a 48v infineon controller?

this is my first post. ive been preparing for my e-bike kit for about a month now. i purchased the 48v 1000w kit off ebay from china took them a while to send it to me because i requested a rear disc brake model (GT avalanche 3.0). i fully installed the entire kit on my bike while running into a few...
