Re: new eZip motor

Can't the Caddy do 40mph? Have your girl drive and you hang on and you will save a lot of money. And if/when you crash, she will be there to take you to the ER

Re: new eZip motor

No MAC at 72 volts. They don't like it. My 12 turn runs on 66 nominal and tops out at just over 30mph, a 10 turn would do maybe 40 on 72v but I doubt it would last very long. This is all on 26" with big tires. So a 8 turn in a 20" wheel might make it but there is no way in hell, or any place else wo...

Re: How to connect my new replacement batteries?

Lead acid batteries don't like sitting not fully charges. You should charge them after each use.

Hopefully the big spark was the controllers caps being charges and not the charger.

Re: new eZip motor

LC here is another cheap battery supplier. In Chicago with good reviews.

I don't know much other than in the states. I am thinking about trying them. Not brand name cells, IO asked.

After all these years you still can't put a square plug in to a round hole? xacto knife does a great job rounding off the corners. Be sure it'd not plugged in.

Re: new eZip motor

LTOs would be great when it comes to fast charging. BUT, where do you plan on doing that? You need a higher amp circuit than you would normally find at home or at almost all outlets you might find out in the open. I know you will need a LARGE charger (size) and output. Without those simple things th...

Re: new eZip motor

LC, if it was that easy, most would be doing it to get above the 48v. A booster from 36 to 48 might be easier that trying to triple the voltage. Yes I did see the post on it and see his posts a lot but don't want another thing to blow up on me. Stay with the regular 36v system and live with it. The ...

Re: new eZip motor

Sorry LC no way. They are lying. The 36v 16Ah pack says 4p cells which means 4000Mah per cell. As before no cells like that in that size. Also no on the LTOs for you. Soldering them together will kill them unless you have better tools and lots of practice. Also they want the same shipping being it a...

Re: new eZip motor

Definitely not the first. 20Ah pack and 5 parallel is 4Ah per cell, no 4Ah 18650 cells. Maybe the new Tesla cells but no 18650. Neither have the greatest reviews for the low number of sales. Yes there are too many PIGS as you put it, but if we all think they are all bad we will need the Military to ...

It's a very good point you make, and quite a reasonable question. But it's also not very easy to answer simply and quickly. I'll try my best. Basically, the whole economy is a self perpetuating machine that turns natural resources into finished products, but only if there is demand for those produc...

So cut the cover off and check the cells for a low string. Charge it like Marty said. Check voltage before plugging the battery in, at the connector and before the BMS. Plug it in and do it again and see if the voltage BEFORE the BMS and at the connector. If the voltage before the BMS is still 96v i...

BEFORE ANYONE SAYS TO GET NEW PARTS, I already have them on the way, it's just taking time to ship thanks to ongoing human malware issues. I have a 60volt 40amp controller, and new 60/72volt LCD twist throttle on the way. So this stuff is gonna take a while to get here. I have a 40volt 15amp LiFePO...
