Re: EV charging prices in Europe increase 500%

I've got a 7 yr. old 15 panel pv system in zip 93436 that pretty much handles my modest home and a Volt driven -20 mi./day. I'm on a good grid tie contract. With the generous rebates and credits, it's paid for its self and the Volt gives me a 2kw 120v back up power source that could keep us going fo...

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

That makes sense to me.

An as time goes on and money gets freed up and becomes available, increase solar/wind and battery then decrease nuclear. While I'm not too hot on hydrogen but I do admit that it is useful for large mobile applications like planes, trains, boats and spaceships  .

Re: Import duties to USA?

It seems to me that it would be simple to just ASK GRIN. Yep, thats where I started, Couldnt get an answer other than see the link on their site which doesnt say much. Just looking for someone in the states that would have already been through this interaction and has feedback. I see. You can alway...

Re: Custom frame.

If you can make a decent weld or even braze, Craigslist is your friend. Buy an ok fork and components and have fun switching stuff around. With a little imagination and a right angle grinder you'd be surprised what you can make.

Re: Ebike Knowledge Probably Saved my Life

It looks like you got lucky! I had the same thing happen to a old phone that I use in the shop as a remote control. I was keeping it always on and always plugged in to a charger. I picked it up in order to change channels and noticed it was hot. After it cooled off I threw it in the outside trash an...

That's how you chose to word your question/statement? Requesting information? "How Is Cycle Analyst still in business? Worst customer support ever" Be careful, your wish might come true. If I owned Grin, it would come true. I had that trouble a while back and managed to figure it out myself. Good l...

Wow! This sounds great. I can see you're been thinking about this for awhile. I'm in for a few $ now and will start a monthly donation when it gets set up. I know nothing about coding so won't be of use there. I can offer my time if it will help. I have owned, ran and sold a couple successful busine...

Thank you for the (new to me) info. This is welcome news and I'm glad to hear that progress is being made to make this joint more self sufficient. While I brought up ads, I'm in agreement that they should be avoided if at all possible. But if the forum can't be user supported, we should keep the ide...

One of the few things in life that we can be sure of is that all things change. God forbid, but what if something happens to Justin? He could get sick or in an accident or even go broke. Maybe it's time to "future proof" ES. Because Justin owns a e-bike parts company, selling ads for e-bike parts fr...

Don't you know the more RGB you have inside a pc, the faster it runs and the better benchmarking it performs.   I just built a Ryzen 5 3600 on a tomahawk max board with a used ebay 2080 video card. Whenever I am concerned about water getting in I just apply a liberal coat of Vaseline or silicone grease. WD40 is a water displacement and does a pretty good job of protecting stuff too.
