Re: Ebike kit advice.

First off decide if you are going offroad or not. If you are going offroad then go with a Bfang BBSHD mid drive kit. If it is like 90% onroad then the hub motor is fine, even though I have having a large controller hanging off the bike, bad enough that I have a battery hanging off it. I will make no...

Re: Building my first bike - A few questions

As to what others have said, buy a good used donor bike. Used means you will get more bike for your money. Better suspension is a real good thing. Next I would have the bike go to a good shop for a rune up if you cannot do it, especially if you are keeping the running gear. Last, I would stick with ...

Re: bafang bbs02

If it is just a bare motor you will still need a controller......If you do not run a controller what is the plan? On and off only? If iwas you I would just get a BBS02 kit, and not run the pas, it can be turned off then run just the throttle which will do exactly what you are wanting and If I rememb...

Re: Bfang M600 Vs others (Bosh, shimano, ect) Reliability wise

I could swear that there were a couple of people on the forum that had managed to find the program to program it? Because programming a Bfang is essential, I have done soo much programming on my BBSHD, I could not live with it if it was in stock form....

Re: Bfang M600 Vs others (Bosh, shimano, ect) Reliability wise

that BH is beautiful. I am honestly just starting to look around. I love my Kona FS with BBSHD. It has taken me more hours than I care to count to get the programming the way I want it but I am very close. As a trail bike it is near perfect, and while that BH is beautiful, the Kona is great for what...

Re: Bfang M600 Vs others (Bosh, shimano, ect) Reliability wise

first off I saw a couple people have the motor quit, both, the manufacturer of the bike replaced for them. I have also seen a couple where the nylon gear went out. As for it being a odd question it is not. Currently a Levo can be had for a bit over 4000, or used for under 4000. The Luna X1 is 3650 a...

I have the Lekie buzz bars in 165 mm on both my e-bike and my wifes and they are awesome!!! If your BB uses the square fitting it will work

Bfang M600 Vs others (Bosh, shimano, ect) Reliability wise

I am curious, I seem to see a number of people having one or another issue with the Bfang M600. Is it any less reliable than any of the other torque sensing motors that come on the brand name bikes like the Levo and the santa cruz heckler and others? Not wanting to get slammed here. I currently ride...

Re: Improving BBSHD chainline: 42T Lekkie or Eclipse?

I currently run the Lekkie 42 tooth and have a decent chain line, but I wish I could run the 36 tooth due to the climbing abilities. Honestly if your bike will shift in to those gears, I would live with it as is, chain wear and all........ However if you are going to swap to the 42 tooth, I started ...

Re: DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue

I am a bit of a loss as I bought a BBSHD in November for my bike and a BBS02 two weeks ago for my wife's bike and both of those work fine I can still run throttle while pedaling in any PAS setting. I do have PAS set for 1 as I did read somewhere that it needed to be a minimum of 1 for both throttle ...

do i have the right motor?

I now have two e-mtb, mine and my wife's. Mine has a BBSHd and my wife's has a bbs02. Both work well. However what I feel with my bikes is that at a certain cadance I would be happier if the bike would start to drop the assist slightly, as with more cadance it seems like I loose pedal pressure. I kn...

Re: 750w bafang mid drive pulsing

sounds to me like you need to change the programming. You need to see where your motor is comming on cadencewise, and also what the cadence cutoff is. what program is loaded? Mine did it a bit with the stock programming, stopped with the limitless

Re: BBS02 or BBSHD for my wife's hardtail

Honestly I am going to buy from Lunacycle, I have had great experience with them on my bike, their prices are competitive and they upgrade the controller to make them more bulletproof. As for a battery she needs to run their Wolf PUP due to space restrictions

Re: BBS02 or BBSHD for my wife's hardtail

I have made up my mind. BBS02. Reasons: Her frame is small and I will be limited to a battery like the Wolf PUP, soo with the BBS02 she will get a longer run time than with the BBSHD. Second, 200 less....... Third, smaller and lighter, did I mention that she is 5ft zero and 120 lbs, sooo bike weight...

Re: Specialized Levo vs BBSHD

I think you missunderstood me. I own a Kona Dawg Primo full suspension converted with a BBSHD, and choice of either full size Wolf battery and Wolf PUP, I run one or the other depending where and what I am riding. I was just curious as I have never ridden a name brand E-bike, so I wondered what they...

BBS02 or BBSHD for my wife's hardtail

time to put a motor on my wife's specialized hardtail. I have a BSHD on my bike, but for hers I am considering the 02 due to the smaller size, price and it will go farther on the battery as her frame is limited on space it is going to get a Wolf PUP from Luna. It will be mainly ridden on dirt trails...

Kona Dawg Primo BBSHD Conversion

So my conversion is done but not done. The bike is done, rode it this last weekend and it did great. What it still needs is a new fork and front wheel (both are on the way), then I need to figure out why I cannot run 8th and 9 th gears. They run fine without motor power. as soon as I power it up the...

BBSHD Controller question

I would like to know if I swap controllers for my BBSHD can I achieve what I want. I would like to have the bike feed me more motor on lower cadance and as cadance increases the power would start to drop in a linear form. As it is with the stock controller I can only see a way for the bike to cut po...

Specialized Levo vs BBSHD

Has anyone ridden a good full suspension bike converted with a BBSHD back to back with a Specialized Levo? I am curious as to what the real feel is and the differences and similarities. I only managed to find one video of Eric from Luna doing just a bike to bike comp of one of their Giant conversion...
