Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I am adding an extra 2S battery pack to my sur-ron just to see if it makes it any faster. I have heard you can do it without blowing the stock controller. My question to you smart battery pack guys is which side should I put the 2S pack on, the red wire or the black wire or doesn't it matter? I kno...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Washer goes inside the wishbone, usually where your right red arrow is pointing, sometimes you need two, each on both sides. I see that offroader is using a different bolt arrangement than my bike was assembled with, this is apparent from the posted diagrams. My kickstand bolt head is a plain cap s...

The washer 17 goes on bolt 13 before you install it in the kickstand, not on the backside. :thumb:
I think
bla bla bla, not very well from what all I've seen. I took mine apart dolt, and that's where the washer was.

Have some one tried to trix with the firmware on the x controller? And where is the shunt every one is talking about? https://photos.app.goo.gl/serjDX7NYF6AdUus7 I'm not aware of anyone who has firmware for the controllers. X controller depotted2.jpg There is no shunt on the X controller. It uses a...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I found the HDPE guard to rest directly on the motor, so when you hit you hit guard, you hit the motor. The guard also hit the motor casing on the lower R hand side near the mount. Also...due to the disparate angle set in the plastic, the two lower mounting screws were virtually impossible to instal...

well thats good to hear, I dont have one yet but want to have trial tires on these silver rims. The 19 & 21" 2.75 are real floppy soft & not adequate for my rear tire.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

please show someone videos how to kill a pro rim with riding style. its ok for me when your dead after that. but i wonder how hard you can push this "toy" to kill a quality rim because of "only using 2.75" tires. i was witness of a buddy doing fmx shit. on a show he jumped right in the flat...on st...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The sr241 2.75x21" on 1.6 rim & 2.75x19" on 1.4 rim both show about 3.2" width. Kenda's k270 2.75x21" is truer to size @ 2.8" on the 1.6 rim. That was a disappointment so, should get the 3.00x21 later this week... What tires will protect your rims depends on where and how hard you ride, nothing can ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The shinko 241 is not that great in the mud or wet dirt. It rained yesterday a lot and I took my bike out today and the ground was still somewhat wet. I usually never ride in the mud but I wanted to try out a new controller I installed. If you ride in the mud then you may need something better, but...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I see the 70/100/19" 520 is listed as a front tire, the same is true of the little dot legal Kenda k760.
Either one is worth trying for seriously loose terrain. :thumb:

Looks good. Let's see..now I want to run a kenda k270 2.75x21 with the sr244, for my black rims; Would like to try it on the rear also but I gotta kill the 244 first. And I'll match my front 241 with that 3.00x18 on a set of silver rims, retro. :D Are you going to lace a 21x1.60 rim up front? Yes 1...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Strange but I think maybe the wire is looped & that is why it's so far back? You can try to see if the wires pull out longer but anyway just cut where you want & enjoy.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

its the middle wire in the back row facing the breaker. The breaker is in front of the battery on the bike, so middle wire front row of batt plug (only green wire)? Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I get a good balance with the 241 on the front & 244 rear.
The heavier, stiffer 244 helps to protect the rear & doesn't do too much trail damage.
Side by side the 2.75x19 244 has slightly larger "knobs" than the wider 3.00x18 that has slightly larger "rain groves".

Just mounted up a set of pro tapers Rc bend with carbon adaptor and riser stem . Really cool.
Can you post a pic of this carbon adapter/riser, or maybe the mfg & part # ?
