90% Battery Charger

Hi

I’m based in the UK and I’m looking for a charger for my 52v pack. I’d like a charger I can set to charge the pack to 80-90% rather than all the way to 100.

Is there anything out there other than the Cycle Satiator?

Thanks

Re: Controller Throttle Settings

Well I have been through every setting on the controller and haven’t found anything. Have tweaked a few things but i guess i’ll have to get used to the throttle.

I’ve done over 20 miles on it now and it not as bad as I originally thought, just have to keep it in mind.

Thanks for the reply

Controller Throttle Settings

Hi I have recently converted my bike to an ebike. I have only had a quick test ride but I am looking to optimise the controller. The controller is labeled as a KT48ZWSRCLD-NSK14XL made by Kunteng. I can get into the settings menu but is there anything I can do to increase the throttle response? Ther...

Re: Battery Recommendations - 2kw

I was just trying to figure out what 'real world' power I would get out of the kit I have. My aim has been to get as close as possible to 2kw. As with everything, figures are always inflated. My kit says its up to 2000w but it's never actually going to get close when in use. I've ordered a 40A 52v b...

Re: Battery Recommendations - 2kw

Yes you are right, but 35A will be different wattage at different volts right?

If my battery is fully charged so 58v, controller pulls 35A that will be 2030 watts? But under a 35A load will the voltage drop, meaning my wattage will drop also? I know amp draw will be the same.

Battery Recommendations - 2kw

Hi I have purchased this ebike kit - https://www.cloudsto.com/ebikes/kirbebike-conv-kits/kirbebike-1500w-2000w-ebike-kit-inc-ion-plus-58v-17ah-battery-457-detail.html I seem to be struggling to find a battery. I would like the style that mounts to the bottle holder mounts, but most state maximum pow...

Re: A few questions for my first ebike build

Thanks all for the advise. I am looking at these 2 kits, which would you say is the best? https://www.leafbike.com/products/diy-bike-conversion-kit/cassette-26-inch-48v-52v-1500w-rear-wheel-electric-hub-motor-kit-1179.html https://www.cloudsto.com/ebikes/kirbebike-conv-kits/kirbebike-1500w-2000w-ebi...

Re: A few questions for my first ebike build

The only reason i'm using this bike is because I already own it, I think it'll be great to commute on but I just want to pedal as little as possible. Definitely going to keep it below 35, probably won't see more than 20mph on my normal route but I just want the power to be able to keep at around 20 ...

Re: A few questions for my first ebike build

Sorry i wasn't clear, that weight is me and the bike combined. I weigh 75kg, my frame is aluminium so i rough guess is 40kg with all the kit fitted? So all in 250 pounds approximately. I don't think i'll mess with a cheap kit then upgrade later, I will aim for a leaf motor and 40amp controller. I ju...

Re: A few questions for my first ebike build

Thank you all for the responses, they have been very helpful. Firstly I will add that i'm in the UK, which means I will have to be extra careful with my speed. I have no intention of blasting around at 30-35, this will only be on road when i'm traveling with car traffic. I will probably spend most o...

Re: A few questions for my first ebike build

I was just going to buy a 1000-1500w DD motor from ebay, and then something like a risunmotor controller also from ebay. I'll add a twist throttle, my battery (i will splash on the battery) and i'm off.

A few questions for my first ebike build

Hi everyone :thumb: I have a Specialised crosstrail comp hybrid bike that I'm planning to convert. I will be using it to commute to work, which is 5 miles mostly roads and the odd cycle path. I don't need anything particularly fast, 30-35mph is more than enough but I want lots of torque for hills an...
