Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Over the weekend i could test my software changes a bit more and finetuned the values. Think it is good now, so please give it a try. If you pedal slower than 15 revolutions per minute (4 seconds for one revolution) the motor stops assisting. Feels good to me, so please give it a try with the lates...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Actually I rechecked this today and I need to correct that. At 35-40 kph at moderate cadence and assist I get more like one full rotation. Yours looks more than that. I'm using a 54T narrow wide chainring. When changing down and slowing to a stop I get virtually no over run. The other day I must ha...

Re: Kepler Friction drive comes of age.

Find a 140kv or lower motor. Flipsky have one that will suit that is a 6354 size. I presume you have 20A cells in that 13S1P pack. VESC recommends a max of 12S however the components are rated at 60v so it should be ok. Thanks. So the 140KV Motor is actually H6368 which is tight but should still ju...

Re: Kepler Friction drive comes of age.

I really like the look of this for low assistance on an old 2006 vintage CF road bike I have.
Would prefer to use one with a 13s1p 48 volt 18650 battery as that's the voltage my other batteries and chargers are.
I'm a bit confused about what motor might be a possible candidate for this or not.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

famichiki I saw your video. The amount of over run you are getting seems excessive I am using the Ackmaniac version on VLCD5 and I get about half a turn (180 degrees) of over run when I stop pedalling. Thanks for the info :thumb: Actually I rechecked this today and I need to correct that. At 35-40 ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

This? Ackmaniacs version uses motor current rather than battery current.

I'm using it with original VLCD5 display. I like it but I'm using only on the road, not extreme mountain biking.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I have learnt that official Tong Sheng torque signal values are 50-105 when viewed using stock firmware on a VLCD5 display. I described how to access the service viewing menu in my previous post. I saw my previous post about the torque sensor range was quoted on Jobike. I tried registering there bu...

Re: Project and stable version 20 of Open source sofware

Here in NZ it is hilly, and usually quite a distance between towns, so a high power motor and high capacity battery is required. So I circled round to TSDZ2. The claimed power seems a bit vague. Is it really 750W, or 750W peak, or RMS, or yeah right! 5- TSDZ2? These are popular where 350W is the le...

Guess interesting would be
- Motor temperature
- Battery voltage
- Motor amps
- Battery amps
- actual Watts

Will test a bit when i find the time for it.
This would be really great.

Re: Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Has anybody here got experience in using a pressfit spacer with mid drive? I bought an SRAM BB30 to BSA Bottom Bracket Adaptor but in the end didn't use it. I didn't like the internal BSA threads when I saw it and being concentric would make things harder for me. I have a Cannondale CaadX Ultegra 2...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I agree flufferty. :thumb:

I'm only using it at low power with a 48V 500W motor on a cyclocross bike used for commuting on sealed road with VLCD5 display.
