Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

If you have the feeling of a different response, didn't you enable the motor in experimental high cadence mode before? I did try the high cadence mode a month or so ago and I did notice that I could pedal past 95 but that was the only thing that I noticed. I'll try it again and see if I notice more ...

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

I didn't notice any difference in the start-up time after I shift still at 2 seconds or 2 revolution. I'm sorry I expected an improvement ... However, I continue to look for a solution. I think the perfect setup would be that when you shift the motor stops completely like it does and then within a ...

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

I have the gear sensor hooked up where the brake sensor goes and that's it no brake sensor is used. Yes, I will test a new firmware change even if it hasn't been tested by you. THANKS Okay let's do this test. I send you the hex file with a private message, then if it works I will released it on the...

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

I rode 25 miles today on my handcycle and I didn't notice any difference with the changes that you made. It all seem to be exactly as before. THANKS Positive is that it does not depend on "fix overrun". I think I understand where the problem is. The stop with the brake sensors is immediate, but the...

I installed my shift sensor on the brake sensor plug and wow does it shift great. The second I push my shift button the motor stops it shifts fast, smooth, and quiet. Now the problem is it powers off for about 2 seconds and about 2 revolutions at 75 RPM before the power comes back on, that's a long...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Thanks, if I can't find a firmware fix I'll try using the speed sensor instead of the brake sensor. I made an error in the photo which has been fixed on the new photos (the green wire,+5V is numbered 4 on Tongsheng 6 pins). I added the references. Sorry, New edit: Regarding the firmware fix, I gues...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

jeff.page.rides I found that I did not need the Gear Sensor on my trike. It reacted you described, a sort of on/off lurching. Not smooth. After disconnecting it, just lightly reducing pressure on the pedals allows pretty smooth shifting. I do not have to stop rotating pedals at all. Using Nexus or ...

For connecting the Bafang gear sensor directly to the Y connector of the Tonghsheng speed sensor. If one of the Y branch is used by the lights (it was not the case for my first bike viewtopic.php?f=30&t=98281&start=825#p1533489 ), we have to build a new connector with 3 cables as described on this ...

As soon as I see that someone with a coaster brake motor that is using the latest firmware successfully then I'll go ahead and install my 860C and give it a try. Thanks Yep, I just ordered 860c display as well. For me the main advantages of this display is the water proof. With others you never kno...

It looks like your newest version for the 860C is getting very close to being ready for me to try it, but right now I'm still on version 20 beta 1 this is the closest thing I can find to the motor current ramp. Is this it and what setting would you try first? You need to ask on the right thread, no...

I think the next step I want to try is a gear shift sensor hooked up to either the brake cut off or like in this post on the other forum the Speedo sensor. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=98281&start=825#p1533489 If the shift sensor is h...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I found this item, which appears to be what we need for the Gear shift sensing as it connects to the existing VLCD5 brake sensor sockets, but it doesn't appear to use 5v source. Unsure how it can work without the 5v. It also has brake sensors suitable for hydraulic brakes... https://www.aliexpress....

When using version 19 on my handcycle with the coaster brake I had to pull back twice to get the motor to stop and to be able to apply the brake. After switching to version 20 I only had to pull back once to get the motor to stop and apply the brake. So it sounds like adding the code isn't working c...
