Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I also added a zerc fitting and filled my cases with thermal di electric grease. It transfers heat very well imho. How much time do you have with this approach? I'd be interested to see the details of exactly what you did, if you are willing to share. I did this (attachment) and it seems to work gr...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Brand new TDSZ2? I just got a new TDSZ2 to put on my wife's bike. I currently have a modified one on my touring bike (flashed, thermal pads, temp sensor, dual chainring, KT-LCD3... ). I bought it from PSW Power. Should I install the new one and ride it for a while in the stock configuration, in case...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Installing brake switches? I'm starting to configure my tandem for a TDSZ2, and I want to install brake switches. What is the preferred way to wire then up using a 850C display, and a 6 pin out from the motor? I had to do that as well, and didn't want to cut any connector from the motor or the disp...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks to the shops https://www.electrifybike.com/ and https://www.eco-ebike.com/ that are being help in various ways (and then stimulating) to get the 860C display working on our OpenSource firmware, I hope to get it work in next 2 weeks. For now, I created a wiki page with pictures of the board a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I found 34,38, 42, 44 tooth chainrings in AliExpress. However, I can't tell if the 34 & 38 tooth rings have an offset as the 42 tooth ones have. My touring bike has a 42-52 setup with an offset 42 steel inner ring. 19-09-06_11.41.43AM-1195x2124.jpg I am asking because I want to make my duel chainrin...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

850C control button? How many wires are in the 850C control button bundle (the wire bundle that goes from the display to control buttons)?

I'm asking because I will need to make the wire bundle longer to mount the control button on my "dropped bars" (road bike style).

Thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

What's the difference between P850C, 850C, and 860C?

Does the firmware upgrade only work on the 850C?

Are there different sub versions of the 850C? If yes how do I specify the specific model / version that accepts the new firmware?

Thanks

KT-LCD3 upgrade? I am confused on what I need to upgrade from a KT-LCD3 to 850C. First does anyone know the difference between P850C and the 850C? Can you "see the 850C in the sun? Next do I have to add the SW102 Bluetooth? I can't see my phone in the sun and I don't plan on using it with the bike. ...

Reading the Wiki whilst mine is disassembled I thought I ought to check the PAS sensor but the controller unit seems to stuck in place solid. Is there a trick to releasing it?
There are 2 small screws behind the plastic cover on the drive side.

Re: STP file, offset 50T design

Hi, Does anyone want to help out with a 50T design? Narrow/Wide - Offset 10mm... I think the offset needs to be closer to the outside ring... instead of in the center like it is - and the solid plate design... I think needs to have cutouts like most larger chain rings (same as stock 52T, and other ...

P850C Vs 850c?

Can someone in the know tell me what the difference is between the "P850C" and the "850C" displays?

Does the "new FW" (just released) run on both versions?

Another option: the outside motor case can be removed from the the unit. This will provide more clearance to slide it in place. Or replace the cable housing with a thin BB cable guide. 092a6397-8669-4dd1-b710-dfe486598060_1.f40ef78303ef5d44ae9d980e36e56332.jpeg Do you put the cover back in place af...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes the 104BCD adapter ( 18 notes on Ebay ) seems the way to go and it would offer a way of getting say a 42T on the outside for when doing road work if you wanted with the outside few gears.. All my riding is off road so I guess that's irrelevant in some ways. I know from the Bafang I had, you can...

Re: how to reduce inrush current of a DC motor

Simple: dont use a bms on the motor input. Use it only for charging. The current draw and losses are huge if you use a ntc/ptc and the shitty mosfets on the bms also burn up. Just put in a low voltage warning buzzer and use the bms only in the charging side Can you please explain how to do this in ...
