Re: How to get more torque?

Yes, I liked that. Having only two sprockets at the front makes the system simpler. I want to make this modification in search of torque on the 3kW motor. Did you modify the inside of Cyclone as well? If I get it right, you took the reduction gears out of it. That is the main doubt. My current set i...

Re: How to get more torque?

" lukashanak I will take off gearbox and change 1st stage to 219h chain 11T motor and 72T mid. And 11-50 cassette on rear. Gearbox with steel planet gears is just to loud... And unneeded weight. I think about 2kgs with freewheel. And much narrower motor. I think it will be super. :) " Hello! Can you...

Re: Can battery configuration help with torque?

Thanks for the confirmations! I will work on building the 48V battery, following the recommendation. But all this is intriguing. If it is the current that determines the torque, what is the need to work at low voltage? What is the difference in torque between 72V 40A and 48V 40A if both work with 40...

Can battery configuration help with torque?

Using machine translator, strange things can appear Hello guys! I have a preference for extracting torque in my kit (Cyclone 3000W) as it is for urban use and I have to overcome slopes. I am riding a battery. I wonder if her setting helps in my goal. I have 140 Samsung 35E cells https://lygte-info.d...

Re: How to get more torque?

I understood. Efficiency should be considered as a factor for heating. That makes a lot of sense. So engine cooling is probably the best way to get more power for longer. Right?

Re: How to get more torque?

I believe I will have the necessary torque with the 22T crankset complement, which you confirmed at the beginning. Also, I haven't tested it with a 72V battery yet, which certainly allows more torque. I'm building this battery. I have no skill with torque calculations yet. It would be great to have ...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Brazilian talking to the automatic translator, strange things may appear. You may need to look not for the maximum power of the motor, but for voltage, and especially the maximum current. Since power is the relationship between voltage and current. First it is interesting to find the maximum voltage...

Re: How to get more torque?

This information is encouraging. I am learning more and more from our conversation. Peak 10kW certainly compromises the components of a simple bike. But it is tempting! I was wondering ... You may need to look not for the maximum power of the motor, but for voltage, and especially the maximum curren...

Re: How to get more torque?

6kW on a 3kW peak engine is impressive. As flat tire said about very cold places to avoid overheating, I was already imagining a way to cool and get more continuous power. If you know of discussions about this and can refer me I appreciate it. One more question arose, who controls the duration of th...

Re: How to get more torque?

This information surprised me! So would 3kW be peak? Will it operate briefly at this power (approximately how long?) and continuously maintain only half of it? With my current battery I am already experiencing the continuous power I will have, since I got 1.5kW still in my tests? If so this is reall...

Re: How to get more torque?

I'm excited about the possibility! E-HP and Drunkskunkl, thanks for the confirmations. I will implement a crankset between 22 and 26T and get more torque. As I will keep the 36T, I will still have the maximum speed of the set. I live in a neighborhood with steep slopes, letting normal people gasp as...

How to get more torque?

Hello guys! New to the area. I'm talking to you through the automatic translator, weird things can come up. I just built a Cyclone 3kW kit, but my current battery allows me to explore only 1.5kW of the kit. My freewheel goes from 11T to 36T, 7v. My crankset is 44T for the engine and 36T for the free...

Re: BMS vs controller vs overload vs noob. Fight!

One more confirmation, thanks! Then we have two current controls: the controller (main) and BMS (reserve) that also acts on the discharge. As I understand it the controller works by limiting the current and the BMS is more rigid, cuts the current. My set operating at most is inappropriate. With a ma...

Re: BMS vs controller vs overload vs noob. Fight!

Thanks for the feedback! With regards to BMS, so I should not worry about over load, but only if I turn it off? I expected him to cut the current automatically when his limit discharge was reached. Your explanation seems to say that it is not so. I am trying to make the settings of this set work eff...

BMS vs controller vs overload vs noob. Fight!

Hello people. I would appreciate your help in mastering my e-bike kit. First I would like to know if a BMS is usually able to control the current consumed by the motor. My BMS is specified as capable of 30A discharge. But my kit came to consume 35A. Watching current above 30A, I quickly stops accele...

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

In the previous example the holder has a smaller internal space and the friction is larger, the plastic is different. This makes th...

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

I believe that if a nickel coated bolt is used it would solve the oxidation-reduction problem that leads to surface corrosion. Nickel plated and brass screw has pretty much the same low price.

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

I fully understood now. The idea of grease is good, it really is a good insulation for moisture. In combustion car battery there are users of grease at the battery poles to avoid this. I think the problem with this is that high discharge lithium batteries tend to get hot, this could melt the greas...

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

The aluminum in that stack up will be fine when dry, but when moisture condenses in that gap between the surfaces, it will make a kind of 1 time use battery that has about ~0.6Vdc from the galvanic surface potentials. It will consume the interfaces through electrolysis corrosion over a period of we...

My thinking is conductive adhesive holding
If there is heating, the adhesive may not resist and take off, losing the connection with the cell. I thought about creating a glue with copper dust. This would also be a solderless construction.

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

Fechter, the cell expanding is new to me. This information is very relevant! What is the maximum expansion of a cell? In my prototype it is possible to compress the poles as much as the size of the screw used. It is not the nut that will make contact with the pole, but the tip of the screw. Aluminum...

Re: Inspiration to build Solderless battery

In this technique I believe the springs are expendable. By turning the screws I get a very tight grip against the poles of the cell and can not lose the connection. This support model I am using has four arms that tightly hold the cell and reinforce cell attachment. The use of springs is also feasib...

Inspiration to build Solderless battery

Hello guys. I'm from Brazil, I'm talking using the automatic translator, sorry for any mistakes. I have seen some projects released that dispense solder. I imagined and tested various techniques until I got to the last prototype. I used brass screw, I applied 5A current for more than 5 min and the t...
