Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Are there any fundamental differences between this and LCD3 firmware? I know this had a different feeling when marcoq was developing it despite being a "fork" of the casainho firmware (when it was still 0.19). But since now mbrusa ported it are they practically the same?

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

I flashed the mbrusa fix, but walk assist doesn't seem to be working. I have it enabled in settings and get the walk icon but it doesn't move. Or is there a bug somewhere? Also, what assist mode are you using? Torque or power? I'm setting up the bike for my GF, I enabled torque assist at first but I...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi Guys, I am building my electric mountainbike and really hesitate between an TSDZ2 with cfw or a BBS02. I understand TSDZ2 is maybe a bit less reliable, especially blue gear, and less powerful, but the feeling is better, as the power given by motor is really synchronized with the effort on pedals...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You can still change the hex value for amps manually even if you flash the 52V file?

Like here: https://www.eco-ebike.com/blogs/eco-cyc ... romscratch

Or is it hardcoded somehow?

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Thanks, but you probably misunterstood me, I've seen the table. I already have a battery, just want a lightweight 500-750W 48V torque sensing middrive (probably a top choice for many EU riders who want a similar feel to factory ebikes). Looking at the table, all the other tiers also get a battery (a...

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Will there be a motor only 500-750W tier? How would the pedal and power delivery feel compared to a TSDZ2 if you had a chance to test? Looking for a lightweight torque sense middrive.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Will SW102 development continue by other developers? (atleast to add the same functions as the 850C display)

Not sure if I should order one now considering the state of development, but want a minimalist display.

Re: TSDZ2, VLCD5 and geared shift sensor

You can also install it on the stock LCD, all you need is a stlink adapter: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=98281 Yes, you don't really need the shift sensor with the TSDZ2, as long as you know how to shift gears and remove pressure from pedals. Well, as long as you ride under...

Re: TSDZ2, VLCD5 and geared shift sensor

I tested yesterday my wife's Vermont Jersey E-bike for 25km within center Paris. Bikester said that the mid-motor was a Trio and in fact it is a TSDZ2 coaster brake bike. The standard setting of the TSDZ2 is much more sporty than the standard setting of Bafang and requires a significantly greater f...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi I just install a new TSDZ2 750W 48V with VLCD5, with Ackmaniac firmware, all seems to be fine (thanks a lot Marocq and Ackmaniac) But and after 20km, no more assistance. I put factory firmware again and try, no assistance. But Walk assist is OK Throttle is OK On hidden menu, I find : RE is at 0 ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm making a thinner gear cover to get a few more milimeters on the chainline. Prototype is 1mm thick, and the spacers for the chainring are 3.2mm so it's 3.2mm closer. Still need to shave a few tenths off the cover or make the spacers thinner as it rubs a bit. Maybe I can put it around 0.2-0.5mm c...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

to be more precise .. no error code is shown on the display. it works, lights on, battery state is low (wrong) and flickering and no speed is displayed. and the motor is not working. You need to also flash the stock option byte: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=93818&start=1...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Today I did 2 tests: installed the alpha 9 version on the 36v engine, obviously it works great. thank you! Unfortunately the emtb is still bad for me :-( Later I tried to power the 48v bike with a 36v battery. It becomes very quiet, it is still fully usable on the road. I think we are the only ones...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I guess you also need the bafang extension cable since the supplied one is just 62cm?

Also, I tried eMTB with sensitivity 5 and got max assist of around 350W which was a bit low for some climbs (if I went down to max assist it boosted to 800W+)

Will try sensitivity 7 next to see if it will improve.
