Re: Bafang Max Drive - configuring

So far I suspect the display as no blown mosfets on the controller and getting throttle 0-5v feedback from torque sense cable (red 5v, black 0v, grey signal 0-5v) BUT getting good power return on the right pins and no shorts (used Luna BBSHD wiring diagram) from the display so cabling from display t...

Re: Norco scene for donor bike, motor options?

Thanks, if I get a shark battery from Em3ev it won't fit on the bracket though will it? As it uses a full length bracket.

Any recommendations for trusted sellers for this style battery in 36-52v 17-19ah range?

Re: Norco scene for donor bike, motor options?

Hi guys, I just looked into shopping for my order. INSANE. any idea how people from Australia split between grin and Em3ev to get a good deal?

Maybe battery from Em3ev whilst getting the baserunner from grin? Are the bms compatible?

Re: Norco scene for donor bike, motor options?

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am thinking I would like to keep this bike fairly stealth and go with a rear hub motor. Options are either the ezee or bafang 310 or similar performance hub motor. I really like how the rtr kits from grin slide the controller under the battery and one connector betwee...

Re: Converting a Bakfiets cargo bike

Positiv, bike would be about 30kgs I reckon, give or take the amount of crap in it. We have been testing on some decent hills this weekend and I have been surprised it hasn't cut out. That said we use the pedals going up hill to help with torque and carry momentum into it. Malcomg, I'm keen to see h...

Re: Converting a Bakfiets cargo bike

Hi Malcolm, have you made any progress? I'm keen to see how you go with a dd hub as we have a 350w geared hub motor on our bakfiet, front wheel. Good performance although our area is fairly flat. Small amount of motor noise but nothing outrageous. Throttle only control, keeps the chain guarding orig...

Re: Battery Recommendations (AUS) for TSDZ2 Conversion

I did get a 72v lipo battery off jonesc but drained it when I left it connected to the bms [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] but, yes the 52v li-ion battery came from China, through Em3ev. Can ship if they are handled right.

Re: Relay for up to 100V DC?

I used a zeva contactor and precharger for a 72v system, works well with a cheap ass reducer giving 12v for the start system, and rated dc circuit breakers. https://www.zeva.com.au › ... Well, new battery and bms setup on this frame now as the lipo was left connected to the bms and drained it to zero.... Now at 52v down from 72v but still fun to slide around in. Got the hard case 14s7p from Em3ev and keen to try and connect it to vbms app if anyone knows how. http://cloud.tapatalk.c...

Re: Battery Recommendations (AUS) for TSDZ2 Conversion

I'm in Queensland. I got a 14s7p (52v, 20ah) hard case with smart bms from Em3ev in China and a 36v 21ah shark case from solarbike in Perth. I would recommend getting the cycle satiator for charging too. Different batteries for different purposes. I went with the Australian supplier for my first pur...

Re: Norco scene for donor bike, motor options?

Hi guys,

If I go with a rear hub motor what would be the best way of adding torque sensing bb control?

Just thinking of non-ebike ppl who will be using my bike to keep up with us.

Norco scene for donor bike, motor options?

Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a second hand norco scene. Just wondering if I go with a front or rear Mac motor or tsdz2 mid drive, and pros and cons of each. Prefer pas control and 52v so I can pair it with existing battery. It will be for commuting primarily, reliability over top speed. It has 13...

Re: Best way of making an electric durny

Hi Slowco,

The soco scooter looks pretty much what I was thinking. I would have to see how much the club is willing to spend then adjust.

I think a bafang kit would be good if they are keen to keep it cheap.

Best way of making an electric durny

Hi guys, I am keen in working out the best way to make an electric durny (pacesetting scooter for track cycling). It would need to go about 50-60kmphr max with a 20km range minimum. I think maybe something like a stealth ebike frame with a big (10kw) rear hub motor for easy maintenance. Or maybe som...

Re: New Chargery BMS24

Hi guys, my husband and I recently bought the chargery bms 24t to charge our 72v 20s2p lipo battery.

I have found that it is not balancing well. Does anyone know if there is any more info on the balancing logic or anything that can be modified to help with focussed balance charging?

Thanks

Re: Electric Drift Trike RWD

Test run today!! Wow, it's pretty fun. Had to modify the drive spindle on one side as the thread undoes when running, small grub screw fixed that. Also running with a different 12v source at the moment as we are still waiting for the dc converter. Also waiting on replacement precharger, using a Resi...

Re: DC converter anyone tried this one?

It's not possible for me to split as I have only one bms. Trying to use chargery 24T but voltage readings seem a bit off (over 100mv range) but have to cross check with my meter.

Thanks John. I was on mouser/element 14 but I couldn't size right for my specs without it being through hole mount

I will keep an ebay stuff, but 80-84v in us hard to find so far

Re: Electric Drift Trike RWD

Got some testing done last night, motors turned! BMS on! Then $15 dc converter (72v to 12v) went 72v on the 12v side and blew the 12v coil on the gigavac contactor. Lucky no other damage. Lesson learnt on fusing 12v side and sizing dc converter to FULL pack voltage 84v approx. So new contactor and d...
