Australia, Chevy volt Gen 2 modules

I imported a 18kwh 2017 Gen 2 Chevy Volt complete battery module.
Using 6kwh for my projects, so have 12kwh for sale.

4 x 3kwh 16s 52Ah modules are available.
Pack was $3500usd from the wreckers. Total cost around $6300aud with shipping, duties, gst. So $350/kWh AUD.

Any required info, just ask.

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

New type motor worked out well, very pleased. Sprockets came from eBay, 10t front, 60 t rear, rhk 520 x ring. Just search 20mm front sprocket, 520 blank talon sprocket,(came from uk) Below 12t front, the m6 retainer doesn’t clear the chain. The circlip method needs a spacer machined up to fit behind...

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

I don’t think this motor needs more phase amps now. Nuc 24f 500a.
Tried speed mode and bike was uncontrollable from start. Have a grazed kneecap & shin to prove it.
Back to torque + speed.
Bank for buck, don’t think you can beat it.

Chain is a 520 x-ring.
Just installed the 10 front. Couple of pixs.
Still a work in progress.

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

Finally got my build up and running. Full size KTM 250 exc, QS3000, Nucular 24f. 18s 3kw Chevy volt. Recommend the new design, was able to bore the rear mount out to 16mm then mount it directly to the swing arm bolt. Perfect clearance of only 1mm away from the swing arm. Got the height right, then f...

Re: Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

Quick question for anyone with the 6f
Is it capable of any more that 4kw peaks.
Quik calc 70a @ say 85v is 6kw.
Deciding between 6 & 12f.
It’s for a qs1000 mid drive.
Currently running about 4kw and barely getting warm.
Thinking it might still be happy at short peaks around 6kw.

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Patiently waiting for the 24f.
Quick question.
My build is a 85cc MX race bike.
When racing, is it possible to bypass the LCD display with some sort of connector or are the lcd electronics integral to the workings of the controller?

Re: Chevy volt gen 2 interest, Aust/NZ

There are plenty of people particularly in USA using these for their off grid battery banks. Heaps of info/YouTube’s online. They come as a 16s 3kw module. So you need an inverter that can charge up to 66v. I’m using 2014 gen 1 for my home setup. These come as 12s 2kw module. Been faultless for 3 ye...

Chevy volt gen 2 interest, Aust/NZ

I am about to hit the go button an import a 2016 Chevy Volt battery. This is a 96s2p 52amp 18.4kw complete. I plan on building one 21s2p 4kw battery for my bike and one 21s1p 2kw battery for my sons bike. This will leave about 12kw left over. Just gauging interest. Will be around $300aud per kw by t...

Re: Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

We are nearly at the end of April, so assuming production controllers should be making their way to members by now.
Has anyone got updates?

Thanks

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

I have signed up for a 24f when available.
Quick question on max voltage.
Currently running a 22s Chevy volt pack. 92 volts fully charged.
Will this work? Is it likely to cutout on high voltage depending on regen settings?

Thanks

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

Thread has gone quiet.
About to order the 3000w.
Those that are pulling big power thru these, any update on longevity and heat issues?
Anyone else using?
Thanks
