Reading the Wiki whilst mine is disassembled I thought I ought to check the PAS sensor but the controller unit seems to stuck in place solid. Is there a trick to releasing it?
There are 2 small screws behind the plastic cover on the drive side.
Thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You will need to remove the sprag clutch if you want to replace the torque sensor. Thanks for the advice. I am also reading that the rear bracket/clamp will bite into the frame and chafe the paint. One solution is to wrap some rubber (bits of old inner tube) around the frame at the appropriate loca...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Found a youtube video taking a completely different approach knocking the lot out from the rear which worked albeit probably potentially not too good for the health of the torque sensor. The only thing that seems looks faulty/seems odd i...

In the repair manual (available here) they use a gear puller.

From my own personal experience I have always been able to gently ease it out by hand, Jbalat shows it in his video to replace the sprag clutch:
Thanks - easing does not seem to be working :(

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Got it into maintenance mode but instead of any torque sensor readout it showed beneath the large r e the total mileage covered and the motor did work briefly. Restarted and now in maintenance mode four zeros (still with miles thereafter) and which never changed. Wondering if I have both a faulty to...

All the time we have had here with the motor kicking in and out has been to do with the speed sensor and the magnet Thanks for the info re the maintenance section :thumb: Its not the magnet - speed display is working fine on the display currently. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Check that your torque sensor is operating correctly by going into the maintenance part of the setup screen on the VLCD5, you have two fields which show the torque sensor readings. Tried that but some reason it jumps back to the main display before reaching it. Have just been out on the bike and th...

My SW102 does not have any USB port... can you please take a picture of your SW102 showing it?? Thank you.
Oh! I was reading the technical specification document on it which refers to a "Micro USB serial communication port, convenient for maintenance purposes. Still awaiting delivery of mine.

SW102 micro usb port

Anyone know if the SW102 display gives power out on the micro usb port - have a 6v directional indicator remote on the handlebars that uses a pair of CR2025s and wondering if I could wire it to the port instead.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Tried the next smaller wheel setting and it seems have fixed the overspeed displayed mph, 26 (inches) being the setting which is 660mm, i.e. a 700 wheel (622mm diameter) with an extra 38mm attributable to the tyres.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Not sure what the display was playing at yesterday as today the motor apparently did not shut off until 17.1mph so set it the first smaller wheel to a 700 and 15.7mph is the displayed speed at which the motor shuts off. Will try the next but odds on that being less than 15.5mph (25km/h)

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The setting I ve put in the configuration wizard is "700". Should I change it to something else? You could try a different setting, 700 wheels are 622mm diameter but the tyres will add to the diameter; for that reason most bike computers require the wheel circumference entering which for 700 wheels...

Check the connections in the cable twix motor and battery; if soldered it could be a dry joint, if by connectors are they firmly fitted together and the wires well secure.

Have the stock chainring with solid chainring guar...
