Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I just swapped out a broken torque sensor for a brand new one, however, there is no assistance from the motor now when peddling. The vlcd5 is fine and has no error codes. I tried the walk assist to test the motor and that is not working. If the display is working does that mean the controller is...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Are you sure that the bin files does not work? At least they work for me. Nah the windows software STVP does not see bin files, only Hex files. Im sure they work just fine in Linux. Normally I would copy out the main.ihx file from the src folder and rename it to .hex however that wasnt there either...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

hi just had a quick look there as was going to update my lcd3, it appears that the ktlcd3 file is a .bin instead of .hex? first time flashing lcd3 but i thought both were hex files.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Has anyone seen this happen before? It looks like something is trying to bust out of the case. It doesn't sound loose enough inside for it to break going over a bump?? It works and charges fine.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I am still on 3.6 and just this morning my VLCD5 switched off and the motor cut out. Would this be due to the bug that was found? I will update to 3.7 tonight and try it tomorrow morning.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Of course, its fantastic that we get the benefit of the hard work of all the developers and testers and hopefully it remains open for all. Yes the lower value for the soft start timeout is perfect. I have copied Chri 27.5 settings that he put on Jobike forum with the Soft start timeout set to 1 and ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I wonder is the reason he does not update his repo due to the copyright and usage warning he now has in his configurator? There seems to be an issue around the closing off of the software and Casainho, who I believe originally started the open source project wants it to remain open and free.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Where are you getting the older code versions from Minatauro ? I cant see them in Marcos's github https://github.com/qmarco/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-compatible-with-original-VlCD6-display This is where Marcoq usually posts his latest versions: http://www.jobike.it/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=76426&whichpage=...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I flashed my motor with the latest v3.4 this morning and cycled 15km. This was the only version I had issues with. I was randomly getting E07 error and the motor lost power on each occasion for about 30 seconds each time then returned to normal. This happened when using both Eco and Tour settings (...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Oh well, I knew it could not be that simple. It looks like I may now have to buy another motor as I don't know if I could do a good job at stripping it down and replacing it. I'm a bit wary of its reliability now though as it was very creaky and squeaky when I pedaled and there seemed to be a bit of...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi Zappan, It is the standard axel on the motor for the 68-73mm bb. It snapped off at the base of the chainring. I was just wondering if it was replaceable or a new motor needed. I haven't had a chance to take the motor off the bike yet to see. I just threw my pedal and crank arm into my locker :) ....

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi, I downloaded and flashed version 3.5 by Marcoq yesterday. I have a 48v with VLCD5 and I had set the configurator K soft ramp to 20. It was not great as the assist was very slow to kick in and then almost had a wave effect and difficult to pedal with a lot of resistance starting off. It was the s...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi everyone I installed the version vM0.16.d with the Java configurator. I use a TSDZ3 motor with a 48V 13s4p battery and with a vlcd5 Display. I just change in the configurator: 36v to 48v, 10S to 13s. After the programming and when I start up the E Bike the code E08 is shown. I also tried with th...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open souce adapted to vlcd5

Hi, I have recently flashed my 48v motor directly with Marcoq’s Java Interface. The only parameters I changed from the default is Motor = 48v Battery cells = 13 (I have 13s4p) Max battery power = 646 watt Battery low voltage cut off = 39.0 I did not change the wheel diameter even though I have 700c....

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open souce adapted to vlcd5

Hi, I have just fitted a TSDZ2 48v 750w motor VLCD5 (no throttle) to my bike and my battery is 13s4p 13.8ah. I don't have an LCD3 just yet but I would like to try this version out if it would work on my version of motor, however, I am not totally sure what the settings would need to be changed to. D...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, Just to confirm does this firmware have the ability to change from street legal (e.g. 25kph and 250w settings ) to custom settings (unrestricted kph and 750w - depending on motor wattage) and back quickly through the pressing of a button/button combination? In the event that one was stopped by ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I’ve noticed other differences between my older motor purchased about a year ago (silver sprocket carrier) and my new motor purchased a couple of weeks ago (black improved sprocket carrier). The new motor has a reprofiled housing for the main gear. It is thinner and a different shape. It also seems...
