Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Well i can confirm this is probably is not a good idea. Flashed my screen and my motor and now the bike does not turn on with the power button and black display on 850C. Is is possible i was supposed to use a file that does not say bootloader on it. I tried to follow these instructions that say pic...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi, I'm trying to update a TSDZ2 kit that came with a 850c display. Is there any problem opening the display and flashing using SWD STLINKV2. Will i end up with the same result result as if i used a bootloader box? I already have the stlink, but don't really have time to and money to order the boot...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I'm using the V19 and 3.7. ........ v. 19C is the latest. Version 19A and B has this stil this bug. So, if you want to prevent the same problem, check thoroughly if you have the "C" version of the firmware. The java-configurator v3.7 is the same for all. I'm on V19c and had this happen twice now. Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I finally installed my silicone heat transfer pads today. It took two pads $4.44US. 3 layers at some points. I’ll find out tomorrow if they work as my bike usually hits throttle reduction temperature on last 5 minutes of my ride home. ABB77FD1-5ECC-4188-A953-542379BEEFBC.jpeg 1028174E-677A-4DF7-908...

Just a warning. Twice now I've had my bike continuously accelerate after i stopped peddling. I believe this to be a software glitch, as bike worked fine once power cycled. I do not have ebrakes installed. They might have helped me stop the bike instead of having to stall the motor with my brakes whi...

I tested the TSDZ2_Controller_vM0.16.D_and_TSDZ2_Configurator_Beta_0.2.0 firmware with a VLCD5: When switching to street/offroad mode by pressing the lights/power button 2 times in eco mode it switched between modes (err03/err04) but there was no change and the motor always stopped working over 25k...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Motor and battery have arrived and been fitted which took a lot longer than l anticipated as l had to do a bit of grinding to the rear mount and the plate to get it to fit properly. It was too close to the upright tube to get a bolt in at first. Quite happy with the way it goes and seem to be able ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

New to ebikes and this forum so not sure if this is the right place for this but hopefully someone will point me in the right direction. I have purchased the TSDZ2 750w 52V motor from Ebird / Aliexpress and 52V 12.8ah from UPP which are in transit. I was hoping to achieve a cruising speed on the ro...

Did you have a chance to test 3mm pads? Did you order them from eBay? I received the 3mm pads, but haven't tested them at all as I have been very busy(in the process of moving currently). I am also generally satisfied with the cooling performance I'm getting at the moment with the pads I have in th...

Re: Who Has The Best Price For Batteries Shipped to Canada?

What about department store tool packs, like Home Depot's EGO, remember they have an excellent return policy and you can buy online and return it to the store if something goes wrong. EGO 56V 7.5Ah Battery C$617.00 EGO 56V 5.0 Ah Battery C$298.00 <----better value then 7.5Ah! I dont know if they us...

QuirkyOrk, What thermal pad thickness do you recommend? i saw they start at 0.5mm and go up by 0.5mm increments. Thanks I used these 2mm pads (The only reason I chose these was it shipped from the US and I am inpatient :D ) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Grey-GPU-CPU-Heatsink-Thermal-Conductive-Silicone-...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Here in Boston we just had the hottest July on record, so I took it upon myself to do a thermal management mod for the TSDZ2. I was routinely having to dial back my assist usage to stay below 75C on my 23 mile (37km) round trip commute so I decided I would do something about the TSDZ2's awful therm...

Re: TSDZ2 vs Bafang BBSO2

Tsdz2 is somewhat defective, the gears do not mesh properly and the nylon drive gear often gives out prematurely. The tsdz2 is somewhat powerful if you get the 52v 750w version. The bbs02 will have more power tha the tsdz2 and can handle higher amps and it appears much more reliable but it does not...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Yes no problm, 18A is the limit, 900w, why not ;) for short burn like a few seconds ... but you never reach this power if you are using 36V battery 900w = 18(A)*50(V) soo you need at least a 48V battery fully charged to reach this power limit .... OK, will try soon. In winter I usually ride around ...
