Re: Enduro type frame front fork selection.

Bumping this old thread instead of starting a new one. Hopefully I can get the help I need from here... I'm building my first eeb bike and I would like some pointers on what fork/shocks to buy.. My budget is about 800-1k€ for front fork and I have my eyes on this one : https://www.bike-discount.de/...

Re: Custom frame for Cyclone Coaxial

I had an idea for the battery connections - Copper carries current better than Nickel and I don't like the idea of multiple layers of spot welds (I still may end up doing it though  ) My idea is to create a Copper-Nickel combined sheet for the series connections as below - Obviously the sheets...

Re: Custom frame for Cyclone Coaxial

Any battery configuration gurus watching? I'm trying to figure out the best way to group the cells +/- 20s 8p cyclone coaxial battery.JPG https://m.facebook.com/groups/1747572265563427 Highly recommended do a salty water immersion test after you rough up the surface of a bit of your nickel. Higher rpm is desirable so he doesn't destroy the internal gears and driveline.

Re: Enduro frame build- advice for beginner

You can get very good deals on other used eeb bikes. Or even better, get a used surron. Building a new eeb is like building a sailboat, plenty already existing to choose from. Is there a good place in particular to find those used? Or in general what are good sites for used ebikes Here on the forum...

Re: Custom frame for Cyclone Coaxial

Thanks for the pics - it's always interesting to see how different people attack problems, That actually blends in pretty well. Did you do the heat-sinks at the same time as the controller swap? Would be interesting to see what difference one or the other separately vs both together makes to the te...

I put 72v through mine with 40-50 amps on a regular basis, no modification. No need.
He roasted his windings already. So has to repair it somehow.

Re: Custom frame for Cyclone Coaxial

I meant on your bike - just curious how it looks because they are an odd shape https://ibb.co/album/VwPWg2 It is right next to motor. Huge blue transparent speaker cables connecting each way. It is mounted with cable ties in a way it is flexible but self correcting. A blow to any corner or side wil...

Re: Rewinding BBSHD for 72V?

You should be doing the opposite, let it rip to 8000rpm++ Sure, so how would one go about doing that? Does anyone know what the stock number of turns is on the BBSHD motor? Kv is very low, similar to cyclone. About 22x reduction to chainring. Claimed rpm 160rpm there, so around 3500 on 48v. About 7...

Re: qs 1000w builds

Wait the qs 1000 has a tapered shaft now? Mine is not tapered. I just bought a 15mm 219 sprocket from lightning rods and bored it out to 17mm and it works fine. In the axle pic they sent me it is tapered. Don't have it in my hand yet. Boring a small one out or shimming a big one, same difference. T...

Re: Custom frame for Cyclone Coaxial

I am using the bac2000 on mine. It is quite happy. Also I noticed there is less heat vs the square wave yuyangking when lugging it at low power levels, so PAS at very low power levels could be doable. I think it might be due to the wave form being able to deal with the motor being between two posit...

Re: qs 1000w builds

Yeah, I was thinking about an adapter too. But would the axle not be to large to fit the "standard" front sprockets? It is too large to fit 12mm and 15mm sprockets. You need 3/4" which is 19.05mm. http://lightning-rods10.mybigcommerce.com/3-4-id-219-sprocket-12mm-w-adapter/ I am going for this one,...

Re: qs 1000w builds

Guys! It semms there is an issue with the sprockets. QS sold me last year the 1000W motor and claimed to be shipped with 420 sprcket. So I ordered a chainring and a matching 420 chain, just to find out the sprcket is not 420. It's indeed made for a 428 chain. 428 motorcycle chain on 1000W motor!?? ...

Re: Cog manufacturer?

I need a 14mm keyed bore 12 tooth cog for a bicycle chain (preferably a 3/32" bike chain, but I'll settle for 1/8"). As far as I can tell, it doesn't exist. At least, it's not available online. I also need some even more exotic cogs machined. But I can't seem to find anyone to make this stuff. Are ...

There are plenty of bomber clones in the wild, they aren't exactly the most sophisticated technology to begin with. Re: Help diagnose this sound from Cyclone

Ideas, motor chainring bolts cracked, motor chainring loose, motor chain misaligned (chain misalignments make different noises under high and low power). It sounds too rare to be dependant on motor rpm before the reduction, but if you can figure out how many clicks is in a crank revolution you will ...

Re: Boxxbike Valkyrie : 12kw crank concentric mid drive with left hand motor drive

I wonder how the concentric pivot is done. It looks like they don't need a tensioner on the drive side. It is funny in all of the vids they are going full throttle, yet they include bike cassette, shifter, derailleur... Single speed would be just fine with this build, with the amount of pedalling yo...
