Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

1. It's too much for the motor controller or the wires for 6V output which are very thin. Use a relay or another switch to turn on the lights and connect them straight to the battery. Thanks for the reply. Although I am not sure if I want to go that route, at least yet. I'd prefer to use the contro...

I am pointing out to others that may be interested - there are other options out there if you want a more reliable and enjoyable experience without all of the hassle. I have had almost every after market kit for ebike conversion on the planet and the BBSHD is still the best. Don't get me wrong, the...

Thanks mctubster for your answer With the motor off or on and the and pedaling while there is no assist ( e.g. at speeds higher than 25km) everything is silent. Jeff and HughF I am really interested in all of these starting power questions. Jeff what made you switch displays? I use my motor on a heavy cargo bike where I want a lot of torque off the line and a fast response, which I get right now from 0.20beta on the display [that shall not be mentioned in t...

Newbie here so please be gentle .... Converted my very standard road bike with the TSDZ2 and battery from pswpower around 6 weeks ago and delighted with the results. But has got progressively noisier until now it is an embarrasment to ride... The noise is only present when the motor is giving power...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I haven't tried enough ebikes to know if this one just merely compensates for it's own weight or not. Probably 36V version is more likely to be sufficient for local urban commuting. Should have gone for 48V version for tackling the hills which are the main cause for reduction of average speed when ...

I don't want to influence you but my guess would be that very very very few riders on this forum, would be able to push into the 100's for any thing more than a few seconds, let alone run regularly ride in that 100 - 110 bracket. That's for the fitties among us and my guess those fitties are probab...

The usability of having to calibrate the torque sensor each ride would be too much for her. She expects the bike to operate just like a car. Turn it on and go. Seems you didn't understand. Torque sensor calibration is only done once. Great. I thought the crank arm had to be positioned correctly eac...

I am still using the LCD3, I have a 850c in the drawer because I rely on EMTB mode which is like a progressive torque mode. It is great and I believe solves all of the issues you are raising. That is because you never tried the torque sensor full calibration, because it is only available on latest ...

I am running stock 52v firmware on the motor and euronau firmware on the 850c, and it also does the same. Thanks, will check. To activate it, you simply press and hold the DOWN button, right?
Just for comparison, what are your settings for the cruise submenu?

In the V20 you have to activate the cruise function in the setup screen, I think it’s default is off in the initial setup. Of course it is activated. The relevant submenu 0 has value 1. Do you confirm that after you press DOWN for a second or so your cruise starts working? Yes my cruise works. Beta...

Anyone seen the latest changes on the 850c version. Looks like a change from using battery current to motor current could be a good thing ? Is it worth doing a source compare and copying out the code for this ? Btw has anyone used 15s with the lcd3 ? Is it reliable ? Hard to know, some empirical te...

I have but no idea what it actually did. Maybe faster to respond to stop/start?

Hi, I have a very tempermental TSDZ2 which sometimes seems to turn on and run no problem, and other times I get no response unless I REALLY crank down on the pedals, in which case I might get a few 10s of Watts. I thought this might be a dodgy torque sensor, so I bought a new one and it seems to wo...

So all the displays have completely different wiring colours, but do the pins in the connectors have default functions? If I use this cable , should it work with KT-LCD3 as well as with Bafang displays? This converts any 5 pin bafang style display to tsdz 6 pin display. If the KTLCD3 has the bafang...
