Re: Interesting level of destruction to a Bafang controller

I would also like to know, was this just road splash or was it actually dunked? I ride my BBS02 in heavy rain fairly often, no problems so far, but I've wondered what the result of it ending up submerged would be. I don't plan on doing this on purpose, but things happen. I think by design the contr...

Re: Interesting level of destruction to a Bafang controller

Well, I think what happened was, it got wet just from rain etc but the drainage hole got plugged up with dirt. It died on a dry day so was perplexed as what was happening, just assuming it was the general burnt mosfet Achilles heal phenomena (although it was at the beginning of a ride so no heat to ...

Re: Are 2 M5 bolts really enough for 3.5 kilos of battery?

Just a couple of questions.. 1). Isnt the actual battery pack just hanging on those plastic tabs that locate it onto the mounting base plate ? 2). How water proof is the actual pack, especially when upside down ? Presumably you didn't see the steel (METAL) pipe clips pictured earlier? they look lik...

looks like "a belt and braces" to me. :) you should be good to go with that. looks very solid to me. Thanks Man, once I`ve sorted the rest out. I just wish I`d finished it before beginning the thread. I got the neoprene sheet today, so i`ll shape the ally and get it perfect and painted this weekend...

Re: Are 2 M5 bolts really enough for 3.5 kilos of battery?

Maybe shrink tube on the U part and a strip of rubber tube between the battery and frame. Even this would help shock load. I believe not as stressful. I'm I right well above course. ??? Nice clean setup. Where did you get it and what cells are on the inside ? Hi, knew I should have waited till is f...

... for the road maybe but for mountain biking I think not  So after a bit of thought I`ve come up with a solution to get many more points of contact between the bike and the battery for high tensile bolts, yea 3.5kg would be easy - id be more concerned with the thread on whatever your bolti...

Re: Bafang EB-BUS cable too long?

I just cut, soldered and heatshrinked mine mine to the desired length. Pretty easy to do. With black heatshrink you can hardly tell it's been shortened. Just make sure you heatshrink the individual wires before covering the entire splice with another piece of heatshrink Nice one, do you have any pi...

Bafang EB-BUS cable too long?

Hi Guys, Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but my EB-BUS cable is about 6-8 inches too long and I've had to wrap it around a few times and try to hide it. Just been talking to a seller on Aliexpress and they will make custom cables as long as I buy 30 peices min (of course these will all ...
