That's not a line I would want to be sitting in, even if the line was just one car :x

Re: Kelly Controller & Outrunner trouble (Help!)

Wait, you are running the motor without Halls at 50%? How...
...well there is your problem.

There is no proper sensorless Kelly controller out there.
You always need Hall sensors with Kelly controllers, you can always install some.

That really depends on how well you can thermally insulate the Battery.

Re: 4 wheel drive ATV as utility vehicle

It's pretty simple, all you need is a two stage reduction gearbox.
You can make one easily.

I made something similar like this for a kids ATV.

Re: Cyclone 3000w European supplier

Cyclones are made in taiwan (or china? whatever), so someone has to import them. UK and buy something in Europe. you don't have to pay customs duty. It doesn't matter where you buy, there is a 20% Vat on almost everything, imported or made locally. Believe me, buying it locally will set you back way...

That sucks, you could ask them if they'll customize the turn count though.

Re: Best and Worst Ebike companies customer service

Why don't you just a new battery made by someone experienced?

It's like buying a new car just because your gas tank has a leak. It's a little over the top in my opinion.

If you want better support try a bike from a local retailer.

You have to connect the B- on the BMS as well, only the balance wires is not enough.

Re: kWeld - "Next level" DIY battery spot welder

20 Joules is 20 Joules regardless of battery voltage and welding amps because time is the deciding factor. As the battery voltage/current decrease, to get 20 joules it will simply increase weld time for instance from 10ms to 13ms. You can observe this by keeping the pedal pressed after a weld until ...

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

You could add some oil to the motor so it has some protection against water.
I used a really thick engine oil additive, about 100ml, then sealed the cover with some engine gasket silicone.
The Hall PCB seems to be very water sensitive so I also dipped it in some glue.

with kelly controller one must specify the polpaare are the 5 polpaare?
I'm pretty sure you don't have to unless you want an accurate rpm reading.
You just need to do the ''Identfy angle'' thing and it should run fine.
