Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Easy enough. Thank you. At this point I am exploring other possibilities. Thanks. G. Hi VasiliSk, So, do you know what the setup for the motor hall sensors on a Cyclone is? Does anyone who has done this for a C3000W motor have some wiring diagrams as to how to connect the C3000W motor to the Nucular...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Thanks guys, I get it... but if someone's preorder from October isn't delivered yet.. 6 months after spending almost 400 is never going to happen. I already have a cheapo... had one for 2 years already. Maybe when the October preorders are fulfilled I'll think about it. ASI makes some decent FOC con...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

The latest controller is always the best controller. When someone who ordered his in October last year and hasn't gotten it yet, that doesn't sound very promising. I am really glad you like yours, but I am already looking at other, available, options that will be better than what I have now. G. Hi V...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Hi VasiliSk, is the next batch of 12F available soon? Lossing hope that I be able to get one of these after 6 months on the waiting list (pre-ordered 28/9/19). Brian I was giving this some thought.... really, 6 months?? Wow, I am sorry to hear... well then, looks like I will probably look elsewhere...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

How well does it work? Is it noticeably better over the stock BT controller? I have no experience with stock controller. I ran mine with PV 12fet (with some issues). Got about a year with alfine 8 speed igh at 70A bat. After upgrade to nuc12fet, igh gave up after a month. Next igh lasted another mo...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

I run that controller shunted to 60A, works very well. I did set the phase to 50% and adjusted a few settings to smooth it out and it seems to be less twitchy than the non BT one.

Stock wasn't different from the non BT one.

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

I am interested in a 12FET one for a Cyclone 3k/4k motor. Are there any tips or guides as to how to install these on the C3000W motor?

How well does it work? Is it noticeably better over the stock BT controller?

Thanks.

Referring to the above post
Its a Cyclone 3000W powered e-trike/velomobile, and this is the Cyclone 3000W thread. All my eBikes, eTrikes all use Cyclone 3000W motors.

Re: KMX Trike Front Suspension

Thanks man, and like I said, there was a VERY steep learning curve... the computer took care of most of the guesswork, I measured the suspension travel without shock and planned for that. I usually cruise to work at ~40mph, and the trike is rock solid and planted on the road at this speed, even at t...

Re: KMX Trike Front Suspension

It weights about the same as A-1, but I think I run slightly higher pressure than A-1 to have a firmer suspension than A-1 did. The tires clear the body, no contact, there is about 1 cm of clearance between the body edge and the tire. It was probably the most challenging part to build, and to do it ...

Thank you... greatly appreciated, I think the suspension was a huge part for making this happen. Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Very good, I guess the cooling gets better too that way. I will go as far as saying this is the way the cyclones should have been sold from the start. You don't need 2 stages for this motor at all. Well, you have to remember that these kits came out well over 5 years ago, the eBike landscape looked...

Wassup man, long time no post... how is this project going? Any traction? :D Remember you don't need 18kW to hit 70!!, all you need is some fancy aeroshell, and gears. :D The 100 mile range is certainly now within A-3's grasp... just need to build a new battery... :) https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn...

Let's put it that way: improving aero was my next step after boosting the battery capacity. I don't mind going 150 or 200 miles per charge and keep my mind open for anything that works.
