Re: Motortrend article with tons of info about Tesla’s Cybertruck

If you believe that you get free service when you purchase a toxic spewer you probably believe in the tooth fairy! Yes, ...that would be like believing an EV doesnt need any servicing ! I've serviced my car from new every 10000 £40 spent I'm on £440 in oil and filters I've had a clutch fitte...

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

The only technologies that are proven to work currently, are fosssil fuels and Nuclear (fission) 650 gigawatts of working solar says you are wrong. They win; you lose. Again, let's come back in 10 year and see if solar is gone because it is "unreliable, intermittent and unavailable." I will bet you...

Nuclear fissions questionable designs to date has left a nasty metally taste on some people's mouths that lead to their nasty death, so shit like that needs to stop the waste all of it has been a shit storm with barrel dumped in huge numbers out at sea along with pipe lines from land in the 80's and...

No one is saying coal is the future, what people seem to forget is infrastructure being built, for example there's a tunnel on Richard Hammonds big under the alps and that aint being built with electric ? there's dynamite fossil fuels and liquid nitrogen all these things need energy to harvest in t...

Problem is everyone is a domestic service design consultant these days but JACK shit of their facts are based in reality, it's all lala land in California so who gives a toss if we get a baseline of facts from an area that's governing powers ain't microdosing lsd and bonging weed like a hippy. This thread sounds so privileged it's beyond, adjust yourself for the wealth of most and you see the energy consumption is very little, energy is not distributed evenly just like wealth. Corruption is getting worse the aviation industry is using methods to create fuel from waste and putting a green ...

Re: Battery Disconnect method.

It's simple as you make it, limiting the inrush current by using resistor over time will not weld any switches. Any switch inbetween the battery and controller will need to be capable of large current and usually a relay be it solid state or mechanical is used for that reason but it's also just as e...

Is it turning into a sales pitch, I could not recommend luna and neither should anyone, but there again if your a paid shill you will. Plenty of evidence to avoid these folk, and do t use an xt90 anti spark above 12s the above working voltage will still allow a spark in capacitive circuits, ive had ...

Chopped up logs for a good half hour on a 36v 5ah battery and used about 45wh not to bad really considering the stump ruined the chain it's for the bin on the plus side the electric got some good torque sorted out this stubborn bigger that was weaved into a bigger tree that was staying so made thing...

Cut a foot wide stump of some soft wood with my 36v erbauer chainsaw and had sparks coming off the chain thing went blunt in seconds, nothing wrong with the oiler so mental chain speeds will need loads of oil and a new chain every go.

Veganism is less than 1%. It's like the EV chargers sensationalized headline. EV chargers have a massive growth spurt at local supermarket installs. Re: Electric Racing Chainsaw Build, Help Please

Not much info on the pm 220 from what i can get hold of but from what i got it is a pimped up controller no storage just takes from 1ph 230vac 4kw, Upto 3ph 400v 8.7kw, and turns that into variable frequency to control the differing saw models attached and i think it operates the water on a solenoid...

Good effort if your getting the results your after then no need to take it any further. I imagine if your getting 6kw at 72v on your set up which is an impressive figure may u say you got an extra kilowatt through yours, I was doing a simular 20 mins full speed run and it failed after say 100miles o...

I get the emrax is a beast but I dont even see a single unit price listed so it's $100000 ?????I don't know and I certainly ain't gonna get one from a breakers yard auction. Yes the z force stock performance will mean 3-1 gearing at least but it can be pushed much harder for something competitive. N...

ZSXAEPdABtU Bit of inspiration for you, dual motor setup both on a cooling loop with a rad to lose heat not sure what your pushing through yours from the battery but id say there's at least 10kw up for grabs by there. Best of luck to you I really like this project some good fun to be had done right...

Re: Electric Racing Chainsaw Build, Help Please

Basics so far for perfect balance saw ? Rotor spins opposite to chain to help cancel out giro effects, direct gear 1-1 differential to flip motor rotation from chain , match giro effects of the rotor and the chain to completely remove kick back as the chain ramps up. Getting past 10kw with current t...

Re: Electric Racing Chainsaw Build, Help Please

One problem with the magnetic field analergy is that magnet rotors spin faster the weaker their field strength is, so using a large current to form an electro magnet in the rotor then needs a much bigger one to oppose it to get high rpm, the upside is the motor will have huge torque but very little ...

RYNEEc3pgT0 Be honest there's a seriously finessed machine this is no basic chainsaw. I don't think it can be beat and come in under weight for under 5k there's a massive challenge thats going to need some improvisation not to spend that on just the motor alone then again on the controller and batt...
