Re: Hall sensor confusion

I do this exactly, with a 9v battery and 3 12v LED. It worked with all motors that I have tested, so we can presume that all hall sensors can take 9v no problem. Also, I had one of those small Chinese ebike testers, that was powered with a 9v battery as well, although I never checked if it was 9v o...

What DC-DC converter did you try? I know a 1500W model is about $23-25 on ebay .

Re: PAS Not Working Properly

I bought the EBikeling kit last year, early 2019, with the 5 pin 810LED instead of the SW900 LCD. To my surprise, it was a digital version, not the 4 pin analog model that everyone else has been using. It gave me working 3 level PAS on the new controller, as well as the old one. I bought a bike comp...

Re: Controller settings...

I would think PAS9 on a 9 level is same as PAS5 on a 5 level. Otherwise, we're in the realm where science can't be trusted no more.

Your 17AH battery is good for 10 miles? That would be 48 x 17ah equals 830 WH, Even if I call it 600 WH, that's still 60WH/mile. Crazy high.

Re: PAS Not Working Properly

That's how my ebikeling SW900 kit worked when I bought it in late 2017. PAS1 was same as PAS5. Ran me right up to 20 mph on 36V, faster if I used the 48V battery. It was also a geared motor, so the speedometer only worked with power on. I played with the P-settings, but I accomplished little. Didn't...

Re: Voltage? 48v Controller has big 63v and smaller 50v caps

My dual voltage KT controller, has three 63V caps and some 50V caps, which makes it OK for 14S. I was looking at a schematic someone posted for the S06 controller, and that shows three capacitors in the circuit that see the full battery voltage. This doesn't mean your controller is the same way. but...

Re: 48v 20ahr aliexpress jungla brand

The ad says it's 13S3P, which means 13 series, 3 cells in parallel, The last number is used to determine the AH, and the total capability of those three cells is your AH.

Hmm, 20AH and 3P means each cell puts out 6.66AH. That's impossible right now. Maybe in a few years. So the ad is lying to you,

Re: Torque Arm Training Wheels

I've made some torque arms out of shelf brackets, which are soft steel.

I think the benefit is that the metal holding the axle is doubled in thickness, and my arms are bolted to a chain stay, not held with a hose clamp.

Re: bafang bbs02

Yes, you can jumper the BBS02 display harness, and the controller will default to whatever PAS level was last set. If that was zero, I guess you get no PAS. If it were set for no throttle in PAS 0, you're also screwed, but Luna controllers used to be set for throttle always on. I cannot remember, bu...

Re: Looking For A New Controller That Supports LCD Screen

You've got a Voilamart kit. Means it's a direct drive motor with Hall sensors. If it were me, I'd find a 1500W KT controller with an LCD3 or better. It should connect right up with the motor, I'd buy it as a kit with the throttle and PAS sensor too, for an extra 10-15 bucks. Then there's no puzzle f...

Is your TSDZ2 supposed to run on 52V? I suppose that if it was an HVC issue, you wouldn't have been able to go 4 miles, but just wondering.

Re: BMS Help Needed - BMS On/Off Help

I tried what you propose, putting an on/off in one of the balance wires, but it didn't work. Amberwolf explained why, and I agree with her explanation. I found a BMS with an ON/OFF switch. Lots of cheap units out there that don't balance, etc. The search is harder than it should be. Half my packs ha...

You may have the freewheel or the other end of the motor stuck against the frame, Not uncommon to leave out a spacer. Sometimes a replacement freewheel is wider than the one it replaced.

Is your 1st picture showing the battery with its cover removed? Looks like 11 screw terminals holding down tabs, possibly the balance connector terminals. BTW, looks they really stepped up the design of the battery BMS, if that is what it is. Probably got temperature sensors in it, If it were me, I ...

See if it works first. That bike with the sensorless controller, I am using a pedal assist sensor mounted on the rear wheel. It will work without a speed sensor but then I don't see the speed when coasting.

Re: Of course I did this - pas sensor

So I took off the sensor and rapidly touched and split apart the the blue and yellow on the controller side and the back wheel began to spin! so now I don't understand what the relationship of that relates to how I should wire this to the sensor? It shows that red is power. Then blue and yellow are...

Re: Mating an 8-pin motor to 6-pin controller?

I believe 6 pin motors don't have Hall sensors. There's the three phase wires, plus +5V power, ground, and signal for a speed sensor. You run these motors with sensorless controllers. The eight pin would be three phase wires, three Hall sensor outputs, +5V power and ground. Often a 9th pin is added ...

Sounds like you only have one battery? If the second bike had a battery, you didn't try it in the bike that stopped working. Did the battery run the other bike?

Do you have two displays too? Can you swap them?

Re: Of course I did this - pas sensor

To install a throttle, you need that key to remove the battery and get access to the controller, to see if there's an unused connector needing a throttle to be attached. If you don't see that, then you get someone who understands controllers to see if there are some unused solder pads on the circuit...

Re: Need help with wiring battery

Your google diagram looks incorrect to me. That BMS won't do anything except monitor voltage. You can hook up a 5S charger by mistake and set the battery on fire. You have to look at your specific BMS to see how it's wired. You probably won't do something dumb like that, but I once bought a 13S pack...
