Re: Parts for rebuilding wheel

If you're continuing to run 32mm wide tires, then that rim is a bit wide in my opinion. They say the rim ETRTO (interior width) is 25c, which is more appropriate for tires over 42 or 47mm wide. You'd be better served by a rim with an ETRTO of between 18-20. aha okay cool that makes a lot of sense, ...

Parts for rebuilding wheel

Hi, I have been researching and trying to understand wheel technical specs figuring out what to buy in order to rebuild my wheel. I'd like to check if it makes sense what I decided to get, or if i am missing anything. Any reply appreciated! I`m based in the UK. I have a bms battery q11 48v kit with ...

Re: Smoked BMSbattery motor

Ahh actually maybe u have a very good point. Just checked closer and there are some melted wires near the motor so maybe that's the problem. Will try to replace them and see!

Re: Smoked BMSbattery motor

Sounds like blown controller and/or damaged phase cables. If you disconnect the motor from the controller does the wheel spin smoothly again? Thanks for reply pwd. Do you think that if the battery is detached and its still not smooth it could be the controller? Like, I dont understand how it is dif...

Smoked BMSbattery motor

Hey everyone, I'd like to ask for some help about my bike Last night I over exerted the motor.. Was going up a very big hill with a lot of weight and when the battery was almost empty I tried to squeeze the last bit from it. And then there was smoke. I got a bit confused where it came from but this ...

Spoke length help

Hi I am a bit confused about how or what to buy to replace 2 spokes that broke on my ebike wheel. I got from bmsbattery the q11 48V1KW kit and 28inch wheel..which was assembled by them, and I measured the spokes and the length I managed to measure with my tape is 7.5inch or 19cm. But I'm not sure ex...

Re: Newbie bike build connectors advice

thx! so it needs to be converted in order to show the right info on the battery meter? How did it go with that throttle? Does it literally connect to the battery positive wire? at the same time as the controller is connected to it also? Yup. When I was installing my watt meter, I pigtailed a few ext...

Re: Newbie bike build connectors advice

How did it go with that throttle? Does it literally connect to the battery positive wire? at the same time as the controller is connected to it also? I tried looking for those type of connectors to allow me to disconnect to wheel for tire changes, but came up empty. I'm using an IP68 cable connector...

Re: Q1148V1KW kit M14 nut thread type & torque arm placement

Oh #$%@^/. My first answer was not even close. They are 12mm. I checked what I have and my 12 x 1.50 and 12 x 1.75 taps don't fit. I believe they're 12 x1.25. If you're in the UK, check with that Woosh vendor, For me it's definitely M14 x ???.. So maybe we have different kits. So back to square one...

Re: Q1148V1KW kit M14 nut thread type & torque arm placement

I just called up a few shops and they don't have it. They all seem to sell ready made bikes and not really selling bits like those.

Been trying to look on ebay and Amazon for UK delivery but I can't find any for sale. Any ideas?

Q1148V1KW kit M14 nut thread type & torque arm placement

Hi again, keep running into problems whilst trying to put together the kit I got from bmsbattery. I tried looking through the forums but couldn't figure it out, sorry if I'm asking really obvious things. Basically I have no idea how to know for sure what kind of thread the axel has. I have the Q11 4...

Re: Newbie bike build connectors advice

Thanks everyone! In the end I diy'd it instead of waiting for a cable to come through the post. Kind of annoying that bmsbattery didn't send everything, doesn't make me wanna buy from them again. I wired in a long enough cable with chocolate boxes so it can be relaxed. Probably not the best idea but...

Newbie bike build connectors advice

Hi all! I'm trying to put together ebike bits I got from bmsbattery. Some wires don't seem to fit together, wonder if I could get some advice. I got this controller: https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-kit/721-s12sn-1000w-40a-torque-simulation-sine-wave-controller-ebike-kit.html And the wheel/motor connect...

Re: Newbie help with choosing a kit

Hey thanks for everything.. I guess I'll get stuff from bmsbattery this time and see how it goes and probably learn a bit in the process. Appreciate all the answers, I'll keep them in mind. Really looking forward to zooming across London.. This city is way too big but hopefully it will feel smaller ...

Re: Newbie help with choosing a kit

Amazing, thanks all! Things are much clearer now. The only thing left is the battery charger, if there's anything someone could recommend that would charge the https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/664-high-c-rate-polymer-li-ion-battery-heat-shrink-battery-pack-battery.html#/336-voltage_capacity-48v_...

Re: Newbie help with choosing a kit

BMS Battery seems cheap, until you see what the s/h prices are, but still they are a very good price over all. Buy https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-kit/529-q11-48v1kw-rear-driving-e-bike-conversion-kit-ebike-kit.html and https://bmsbattery.com/ebike-battery/664-high-c-rate-polymer-li-ion-battery-heat-s...

Re: Newbie help with choosing a kit

I guess I would like a charger which is faster than 2a and perhaps more reliable so I don't have to keep replacing it. Is there any you would recommend on bmsbattery that works with the other parts mentioned from bms?

Thanks

Re: Newbie help with choosing a kit

Most e-bike batteries are a crapshoot in terms of reliability, lifespan, quality of construction. Getting one from an unknown seller raises the risk of having problems with it and lowers the likelihood of having any recourse if you do have problems. The listing in your battery link suggests that if...

Newbie help with choosing a kit

Hey, I've been reading around and basically got 2 options on my mind.. Mainly because there are so many out there that it was overwhelming to figure out which ones are quality ones.. Basically my whole budget is around or less than 500 pounds. I live in the uk. I'd like 48v 1000w motor with around 2...
