Re: My Custom Triangle Battery Box for new Fatbike build in

Hi All! First, my thanks to the many members of ES who gave me the inspiration to construct my first Battery Box, for my first E-bike build! I have like many newbies, been reading ES for a good few months, before buying my first new Fatbikes, for myself and my young daughter. Daughters e-fattie is ...

Bafang Spacer for downtube

I've been dealing with this annoying issue since day 1 of running the bafang - the torque of the motor pushes against the downtube and I have a cable guide that's been crushed and since fixed, but I've tried a number of spacers between the motor and downtube that all eventually fail. In once case I ...

Re: Bighit 8t mac

I enjoyed reading your thread deffx - looking forward to your thoughts on the BBS02 once you get some km's on that thing...I initially didn't like the left thumb throttle on my setup either, but its starting to grow on me. I have a half twist on my other bike, and sometimes feel discomfort in my wri...

Re: 2.2kw MAC10T vs BBS02 750.

This was a great review Raged, well done. I have both setups and agree with all your points. For me, it depends on my mood and how quickly I want to get somewhere. Lately the MAC's been getting more mileage - on 40A its fast and so much fun. But for bushwhacking or just cruising you cannot beat the ...

Re: EM3ev, setting the record straight on a few things

I would like to share one last thing in response. This is an email from a customer I received a few days ago. It highlights the difference in firmware (not software on our kits compared to others. I can assure all readers of this thread that our kit is different than others and that even if availab...

Re: Advanced settings on the C963 - 8fun mid drive - 750w

I was having the same issue not being able to access the advanced menu (although this was on the C961) on a brand new BBS02 750W. I had to press BOTH the +/- at the same time while already in the basic setup menu, while pressing the power button 8 times. Hope this helps.

Re: BBS02 fitment question

Thank you guys for the info - much appreciated. I'm glad I'll be able to make it work. I'll be sure to put some type of spacer between the motor and down tube.

BBS02 fitment question

Hi All,

I'm thinking about putting a BBS02 on my stumpjumper and I was wondering if the rear shifter cable routing would prevent me from installing a mid drive?

BUMP!

Can you guys who have oil cooled your motors report back your long term results? Have any issues come up since you oil cooled your motors? I have a MAC motor I'm thinking about oil cooling, but I'm concerned about long term oil leaks or other issues developing...

I may be wrong but I didn't think you were supposed to connect lipos of different cell counts in series? You have a 3s and 6s connected in series?

Re: Help - Doner bike for MAC motor conversion

I put a small bafang type motor on an older HardRock (2002 Pro) and it is a total pain in the a$$ the remove the wheel for any reason. I finally Sh!t-canned it and moved everything over onto a different bike. If I were you, I would pick another bike. Just using all of my hard knocks with a HardRock...

Re: Help - Doner bike for MAC motor conversion

Has anyone had any luck with filing down the dropouts on a Specialized with these shallow dropouts? I already have the same bike pictured below that I was hoping I could make work by simply filing them down a bit and using a grin tech v4 torque arm. When I bought the bike last year an ebike wasn't e...

Re: E-Bike Setup Feedback

Thank you for the info, everyone - very helpful! Drunkskunk - you're right I completely miscalculated that mAh number so I removed it from the post so as not to confuse anyone. I'm planning on making (3) sets of 12S series "sticks" out of my heli lipos, and then I'll parallel them together: - (2) 6S...

E-Bike Setup Feedback

Was hoping some experts could chime in and offer their opinions/recommendations on a setup I'm thinking about purchasing from EM3ev. This is my first e-bike and I do have some experience with lipo's as I fly electric heli's…but 0 experience with e-bikes! This bike is just for recreational use. Been ...
