Re: Want to build something comfortable, but issues with local bike path 'style'

"These things are relevant to us as e-bikers because we don't ever have to pedal or pedal very hard"

I like that black bike picture, 3x8 is good to have because I like the ability to use the 22 or 24 crank gear for climbing, but also have the 44 for cruising at speed.

Electra Townie cruiser bicycle, 29D, 3x9 speeds, has 27.5 wheels, not good for a hub motor There is also a 21D model, 3x7 speeds, has 26" wheels . Both would be a good option for a cruiser style while still keeping the regular bicycle riding position and having a 22 crank for the hills if you want m...

Hair salons and barbers to open soon with restrictions, except for LA County.
Of more importance, when will the "spa's" and "massage" parlors open.

The highest geared motor would be the MAC.
Not true, not even close. I've seen an electric motorcycle with a geared hubbie. I haven't been able to track down the manufacturer of the motor, but once I do I'll definitely share it on the forum.
Do you think it has steel gears inside it?

The highest geared motor would be the MAC, but whats the weight and cargo limit of a motor like that, would 375lbs eat the gears up for breakfast?

Sur rons look too much like a motorcycle, I would go with a Levo or similar looking ebike, Luna Cycle has some nice looking ebikes. Tubeless tires do fit much tighter, they have to. I've never seen a bead lock for bicycle tires, its common for offroad SUV/Truck applications. XP Here's my experience w/ Linux, so be careful. I had it on a computer a few years ago and liked it a lot. Then one day it initiated an update totally on it's own, and committed suicide right in the middle of it. Which Linus OS did you use? XP is fine if you have nothing worthwhile on your pc or d...

That is cheap. I don’t want to add to negative comments, only making sure that you have realistic expectations. But why be so negative? Why not Negative comments were meant to caution the OP on not expecting too much. Was it too harsh on a new fishie, na not at all for 2:45 am. I will try to be mor...

I had one of those type of ebike frames, Strong GTS I burnt the stock brushed motor out in under a week but then I installed a MXUS 3000W 45H rear hub motor and Lithium Ion batteries. I liked that frame because it was steel, I still have that frame, though I did bent the shock mount but its all weld...

I feel my tires, every corner, every acceleration, every braking. I know when they are 2 PSI low. I feel when the surface condition or temp would like them softer. No need for monitoring, like one doesn’t need a temp monitor their wife/gf.

You'll probably want to switch to a lite beer. But I recommend going with a mixed drink that has one of those little bitty umbrellas in it, which might act as an anti slosh device. Only while ebiking, and only with the pinky raised, 999zipper being in Dana Point So. Cal and all, you just never know.

Whats that specialty store that sells everything, nuts, balsa wood, tools, EV'er use it.
Begins with a C, heavy online presence, ships everywhere, big store, sells millions of stuff.

Something like Lee Valley in Canada.
