Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Anyone seen the latest changes on the 850c version. Looks like a change from using battery current to motor current could be a good thing ? Is it worth doing a source compare and copying out the code for this ?

Btw has anyone used 15s with the lcd3 ? Is it reliable ?

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Did you see that Ackmaniac did something to take into account the cadence for less overrun
Maybe have a look at that and see if its also worth incorporating

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Subscribed... Unfortunately I have no motivation to go for an 850c when the ktlcd3 is working fine. if I ever buy another tsdz motor For a new bike I would certainly buy the 850c but at this stage I don’t think it’s worth it. Where do we go from here ? My suggestion is let’s document what we think n...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Thank you so much Elinx, I was able to install the original marco version on a friend's bike and he was pretty happy with it. The configurator didn't like the default location of stvp because of the spaces so I copied it over to the c drive and it works.
Thanks again JB

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi Andrea_104 I wonder if you could add links to the latest Marco firmware and configurator in your first post.. From what I can tell the configurator is at version 3.7 and the firmware is 19c and there is also a 19c version from ackmaniak ? Anyway would be nice to have some links if you get the tim...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

And I did saw your video and I known because I did the development that the latest version of 0.51.0 has improvements on the issues you did show in the video. So my suggestion to everyone is to update to the latest version. Hi Casainho, I have been trying to keep up too.. as you know I have the KT ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Very interesting, thanks. What were your settings for maximum battery current and motor power limit? I'd be interested to know if the torque is reduced in high cadence mode and if so, is it across the whole range or only when you go above what would be considered normal maximum cadence. I use 18a m...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi jalabat, very nice your test I already use the high cadence mode on the engine powered at 36 and I am very satisfied, I saw on your video that when you go from 42V to 58.8V you only change the 14S battery type, but not change the motor settings (from 36V to 48V) why? when you use a native 36V in...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

I’m assuming it’s coming from the rollers, the chain is changing angles a couple of times, is this necessary ? Perhaps just install a derailleur on the back and remove the rollers ?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Nice so it LVC is reached then power keeps dropping to ensure LVC is not violated again ?

I assume that eventually the power cannot be dropped any more and the motor will turn off ?

Are you sure that the bin files does not work? At least they work for me. Nah the windows software STVP does not see bin files, only Hex files. Im sure they work just fine in Linux. Normally I would copy out the main.ihx file from the src folder and rename it to .hex however that wasnt there either...

Guys really getting excited about version 20, still on 16 and happy except for the known problem when you try to peddle harder the power reduces and the moment you back off a little it goes up again. Sounds like this is a maths issue and has been solved (I'm guessing??) My question to Buba is whethe...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

It is not practical for users to pull apart their torque sensors although for the few that did it has really given us some good data. Just stating what everyone else is probably thinking by now... It should be fairly easy to set up a menu item to measure adc values for 5kg, 10kg, say up to 40kg whic...

Here is an article on the new 2020 BoschCX motor Just out of interest we have been talking about eMTB mode and I have been talking about reducing drag from the motor in case where you have a really low assist or max speed limit and you are trying to peddle faster than the motor. Not really many take...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Yes I think Wayne also mentioned EXPO as you have shown on the graphs above..

The user could set levels 1 to 5 as normal for their riding style and eMTB mode could be level 6 which interpolates between levels 2 and 5 in an exponential curve.

This should be easy to implement.
