Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I've changed my attitude about the Sur Ron. After doing a lot of research I think it's the most desirable electric motorcycle on the market. If Sur Ron ever makes the bike easier to register I think they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough. My problem is I've gotten used to riding anywhere in...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

You have 3.5 trial rear and stock Cst 19 front? Jesus. Ohhhkay. Btw.. Stock battery stock controller? This rear eats probably 1kw :? Do you have any video from what's "possible" with this setup doing trial stuff? I think this combo would work great!!! Like riding down hill all of the ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Does anybody know what phase current means in context to what these fancy controllers for Sur Ron's have. They talk about shifting the phase current in the rpm band which changes power output and moves the peak higher or lower in the rpm's. Apprently the controller gives you the ability to do this....

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

This is what it has come down for me. The good news is, it will last a while. On average, I use 3 per crapper evolution. So that comes out to about 170 trips covered at the crapper.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

lol, you would do well to listen to those who are experienced. The OE rear lace pattern matters not to me, if you want a strong wheel cross-3. And this is my stock ebike wheel, cross-2, or -1 is used for hub motors. I did a survey of the motorcycle wheels in my shop. 9 were 2 cross and 3 were 3 cro...

I noticed doctorbass has been largely absent as well, though that could just be a coincidence. I've read through many of the old posts here at ES and it seems that at least a few of the people who seemed to be on the bleeding edge circa 2015 or so are either notably absent or no longer contributing...

Re: Cowardlyducks - Videos

Thanks Lee. Yeah, wish I didn't have to, but the Fighter has to go to fund the R&D needed to develop this idea. In fact it officially sold today. I'm happy as I got over 10K for it, which is fair considering the amount of mods I've made to the bike. I don't know if Stealth are planning a mid drive....

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Excellent work as always Grande. My Vboxx has around 16000 miles or so now. It has always had play on the sprocket counter shaft since day 1. I wonder if a little play is by design? I don't think so. I think they made the Vboxx with large mechanical tolerances on the bearings. All the bearings I su...

Does anyone know if the Sur-Ron rear wheel is dished any? Going to lace an 18" wheel and need to know if I should dish it.
What size of 18 are you going with?

The thicker the gauge wire works as a disadvantage, so 12G is good, but 12/13G would be even better. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are in the USA, then HomesHobby website is a good source for spok...

Re: Discussions aren't the same quality without Chalo

Chalo also had a low opinion of car drivers, but if I was a cycling enthusiast living in Texas I probably would too. Rix, I agree with you - an MC rim on a MX bike needs thicker spokes than a bicycle. The traditional trap that I thought Chalo must have been referring to was putting thick spokes in ...

@CD, I see Merlin answered the reason why for my questions to you. I guy my size would gladly sacrifice a 6MPH in top speed to get faster acceleration and hill climbing improvement.

I've lost my desire to buy a Sur Ron. The problem with it is it looks too much like a motorcycle to ride on the street without registration, and then you can't ride it on the city bike paths. All things considered my Bomber is better suited for the riding I do. The only thing that's bugging me is m...
