Re: Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

I've ridden Bosch, Yamaha, brose and Shimano and on mid setting "trail" mode I cannot tell the difference between any of them and the M500. Torque sensing is smooth and responsive enough to navigate through tight technical obstacles or ride up stair cases. On boost mode they all feel similar in that...

measure between the phase wires and the case... should be open.. **edit** oops didn't see you'd already tested shorts to the case.

I'm even running the m500... I might email them just to see if they would consider it. Maybe it was too so with the trade restrictions USA and China?

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread

This is the mod that everyone does on their Shimano and Bosch drives.

Works fine but as you said the speed is all whacked....

Do you really need to know how fast you are going?

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread

Is there a particular reason why you want to program the controller? As a torque sensor pedal assist, the motor is fantastic as it is. It has plenty of power to rip up single trails. My guess is that with any other controller you will lose the integrated feel and just end up with a throttle mid drive.

Re: FREY eMTB with Bafang m600 is developing with your ideas!

are you using a throttle? is it speed limited?

I'm interested to know if it's a failure because it pushing the limits or if it is just a failure.

Thanks

Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread

Try turning the chainring backwards. If it is very difficult to turn the Fets are probably blown.

Sounds like a controller /Fet problem to me.

The Bafang battery is different to the one that fits the Dengfu frame. Bafang had an OEM battery that is 12s 3p. Their bigger 600Wh pack is 12s 4p.

I'm not 100% sure because I haven't actually seen the Dengfu battery case. I'm pretty sure they're different.

Re: FREY eMTB with Bafang m600 is developing with your ideas!

Yes they are programmed to 45km/h. You cannot adjust the speed limit because it is set in firmware. It won't go much faster than 45km/h anyway. There is not enough power

Re: Luna Cycle X-1 Enduro FS (Bafang M600 / Dengfu M09)

I was at the bafang factory yesterday and reported to them that the perceived noise was high. It is indeed because of the metal gears which we all know. They said it could be improved by adding more "glue" interpret as "grease". This supports Kepler's observation. So I suggested that this should hap...

So basically you will build your pack on arrival.. you're not shipping a pre-built lithium pack. That makes more sense.

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

So they are letting you fly with lithium batteries in a bike? I realise you can take bikes as checked luggage, but an ebike? didn't think so. Some more information would be awesome I think there are plenty of people who want to travel with their ebikes.

Re: Controlling throttle speed completely with Arduino

Typically ebike controllers use an analogue input between 1V and 4V (ish). For a hall-effect type throttle. Your Arduino can output PWM signal with varying duty cycle 0% to 100% pulsing 0V to 3.3V. The RC filter averages out the % duty cycle too a voltage which becomes your throttle signal. Note Max...

have you tried bluetoothing to the display with the Bafang Go app, it may or may not be bluetooth enabled but you might be surprised. Hi Wayne, My frame is a little bit different to yours. the mount must be further towards the axel, because the cable is not long enough for me to use the internal routing holes. I had to cut and extend the cable in order to install it correctly.. mounting the sensor further towards the rim will work...

Morning all,
Kepler, could you please post a pic of the 'single speed sensor' cable? showing the length. I received the twin cable as shown on the schematic you posted. The second port on this cable is a duplicate of the middle unused connector on the motor.

Re: Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

I've been thinking about this as well, I would recommend a small Atmel or Microchip Microcontroller. It gives more flexibility, and you could do things like 0-45km/h present normal range to the controller, above 45km/h present half speed. That way you still get useful information from the speedo.. S...
