Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

Does anyone know where I can find the 6FET version of these EB/KH6XX controllers? I had purchased an 18FET EB/KH618 from West Coast Electric Cycles and am very happy with it but they are no longer for sale.

Re: Cyclone 3000 version 2.0

Nice 2.0 build, looks like a solid setup. Glad to see you are enjoying the remaining snow. For what it's worth, I'v been having success with my Cyclone setup too. As you say; it needs a bit of maintenance/checks from time to time but it's still running strong.

Re: Grin Base/PhaseRunner without Cycle Analyst

Does anyone know if it's possible run a Phaserunner without a Cycle Analyst and still have regen braking? Does it accept a basic brake signal?

Thanks

Hi fourbanger, I'll get back to you with a PM sometime in the next couple of days. The rim has a factory coating; so I can't say how well it would do with rim brakes.

Re: Will higher amp controller help?

If it is the same controller and settings you were running LiPo with, the 3P of 26650s probably isn't capable of delivering the same current. Do you have a way of measuring voltage sag and/or current draw?

Re: PWD's Rocky Mountain Element - refresh

Looks like fun :) Very similar to the box I built for my wife's bike, and I also used the Malectrics welder (with a car battery) and had to modify the derailleur to clear. How do you plan to attach the side panels? With only one screw in each corner of the triangle, mine don't seal tight at all in ...

Re: PWD's Rocky Mountain Element - refresh

I did a very quick test with the Malectrics spot welder using my HRB 3S 8aH lipo pack and it was a success. I managed to spot weld some tin can tops together. My next test will be nickle sheet on some dead cells once the nickel sheet arrives...

Re: PWD's Rocky Mountain Element - refresh

I've been chipping away at bending up the sheet metal for the box over the last few days. I think I've just about finished it before I begin welding. 14S7P of 21700s will be a tight fit:

Re: PWD's Rocky Mountain Element - refresh

I have finally managed to start doing some cardboard assisted design. After a few adjustments and realizing the width of this battery box interferes with my chainring and derailleur, I have come up with this: IMG_20200301_122822.jpg A preview to see how wide this pack will be on the bike: IMG_202003...

Re: 2 Large, identical battery packs in series? POSSIBLE?

It is possible to connect two identical packs in series. They key is that they must be the same capacity and have similar internal resistance so that they are discharged at the same rate. That can be tricky even with two similar packs. I would recommend running the packs in parallel instead unless y...

The bike has been parked for the season (fat ebike filling some of the gap) but I'm beginning to cobble together materials for something like this: The bike before it went electric, showing the approximate available space for a battery box: pack_size.jpg https://e4bike.ru/page/battery-shape-configur...

Long story short, my 32T chainring has taken some damage. Nice conversion. For the sand, try lowering your tire pressure if you haven't already.
