Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

These tests are so vital and important to sort out the lesser good models in the djungle of batteries. And one important thing can be determined by the results, that is 29E keeping its golden crown among contenders in form of the best bang for the buck. I'm glad I bought 29E a while ago by chance an...

And that makes sense when calculating.

Re: Choosing new battery

@Carcharodon Carcharias Just so you know... there is a thread about testing different cells how they age at load and GA, 30Q and PF is among the worst performers of the cells being tested. Ageing chart: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=269518 And the thread itself: https://endl...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

From the chart it looks like 35E could be the new GA in terms of capacity decay.
I also wonder how a 18650 cell of LifePO4 would come out in tests like these.
It might reveal something we never thought of, or just imagined how it should behave by myth.

I can't imagine how you manage all these tests in such short timeline.
Keep up the good work, it is so very great of you taking the time doing this.

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

It seemed to take longer bulk charging my 10S5P 30Q battery (with 2.5A charger) from 4.00V to a 4.10V than say from 3.40V to 3.50V? That's because the charge current at 3.5V is maximum, e'g 2.5A in your case. Above 4V the charge current is just a fraction of 2.5A as this is close to finished. If on...

Re: Thread for new battery breakthrough PR releases

Loosing 25% capacity after 200 cycles is not impressive, rather lousy actually.
But they don't seem to care about that small "issue".
Easily fixed they might think, but probably not and the waiting for truly good LiS batteries continues....

Re: Surplus LiFePO4 packs 4KWH 24V 220AH.

LiFePO4 has no real advantage over e'g NCM cells.
Neither at weight, capacity or price.
LiFePO4 had its glory days but we are far past that time now and looking forward to even better chemistries.

Why limit yourself to 3P unless the space available is really tight.
More cells in parallel increases cell life dramatically.

In short: docware`s data are correct.
Hi Pajda and thank's for the clarification.
I suspected this was the case but it's better to ask than being uncertain.

So far LG M36 looks like the new killer cell stealing the crown in terms of cycle ageing properties.

Any technical oddity in press releases if often a sign of bullshit and wapor ware.
The press release itself is just a fraud and the intent is raising investment capital.

You could build three separate batteryblocks that you connect in series to your para-flight system.
Kind of safer if properly designed.

Wait until you fall, then you'll feel old !!!!

Jokes aside, I guess your are not peddling to much at these speeds.
