Re: Rear Dropout Torque Sensor

That's how some of them work. The factory rep told me directly that sometimes you just have to bang it a little bit if not working. Or the possible fix.
He was from stormer I believe.

Unitpowerpack has the cheaper battery without balance circuit but you can pay extra for a BMS that has a balance scene circuit in it.

Re: Rear Dropout Torque Sensor

Some little thing that jumps around inside I don't know if it's ball bearings or some kind of shaped piece of metal but sometimes it sticks and you got to take a little mallet and tap it and that usually starts working again.

Re: Building my first bike - A few questions

As said before an old chromoly frame mtb specialized giant ect for under a hundred to start 7 spd is fine. Lots of room for a battery in the triangle strong rear axle. Not aluminum. Best to find separate brake and shifter or friction shifter is fine rim brakes work great just use Kool stop v brake.

The number one thing you have going for you you're using a high grade automotive cell proven and they keep well balanced and you know what you got..
The drawback is there still big and heavy for an ebike.

Re: building my first battery

Do balance the parallel groups to same voltage before assembly or before installing BMS. The bms will help keep a balance pack balance. I have three voltpheaks lifepo4 single cell charger @ 3.6v at 2amp. I haven't seen them in a while but someone must sell something like. Get a piece of paper and wr...

Re: building my first battery

You can put two sightly different capacity cells in parallel they will act as one cell. The series set should all have same capacity if possible. So if you test all cells and write down info on each cell. Number them. So after finding out capacity match the headways and no name and match capacity.. ...
