Re: BLDC Controller 48v to 72v 30A For High RPM Motor

So what's the low down with Kelly then? When did they acquire such a bad rep? They were pretty sui generis here for some time. You started off with the bog standard crap off ebay, then Ed Lyens monkeyed up Infineons, then a Kelly, then the Sabvotons.....

Kelly has a very poor rep.

Just like your Dear Leader, try reading a bit rather than talking so much.

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Hi. I need a controller for a cheap chinese motor, "KUNRAY", runs around 48v or more, 4800rpm.

It's a 3 phase BLDC with hall sensors.

Can you provide an option for my needs?

Thank you.

Re: My1020 / Kunray / YaLU 1000 - 2000W motor ?

Low power to weight ratio on those babies. Probably not great efficiency. Of course they're cheap. with dimensions like that, they'd be my last choice, as you'd instantly get a weight imbalance no matter where/how you mounted the motor. I think mine came at 4,4KG which is 9.7lbs in "Old Money" :lol...

Re: My1020 / Kunray / YaLU 1000 - 2000W motor ?

Does anyone own one of those MY1020 / Kunray / Yalu or whatever motor they are called: motor.png Super cheap and readily available. They seem to come in 2 versions: a 124mm 1000W and a 134mm 2000W. Both 107mm diameter. Weight is somewhere between 3.5 and 4kg. A version with a 4-bolts foot is also a...

Re: BLDC Controller 48v to 72v 30A For High RPM Motor

Still interested. Hooked up a Cellman Infineon to it last night and at low battery it works fine but a charged 48v battery means motor does that surging thing that these high RPM motors do when used with Low RPM controllers. People are selling on EBAY but they either sell with the Motor for large $$...

BLDC Controller 48v to 72v 30A For High RPM Motor

Hi, picked myself up a Kunray style BLDC cos it was going cheap. I've got a load of controllers but most are infineon/MAC geared oriented so I doubt they will work straight up. I'm looking for a good controller that can handle 3000w and is high RPM suited. 4500RPM or so. Indicators, cruise, reverse ...

Re: Replace phase wires MAC

Hey guys, does anybody know what the correct term is for the fibreglass fire sleeving around the wires in the MAC motor? Does anybody know what diameter I need to order it in? I am just getting finally to the end of a very painful job rewiring this motor and I would like to get it right. I won't be ...

Re: Diagnosing a motor

LOL I already got one and EM3Ev is out of stock. I bought mine from Lyen 10 years ago. It's giving no replies for Halls. On motors that are known to work. I tried a sensorless controller but it's busted. Funny that, EM3EV sold me that controller knowing it was intended for a 6t motor. They knew it w...

Re: Diagnosing a motor

For checking a motor, I use an ebike tester to check the halls, and also always the throttle first (also with the ebike tester). Then spin the motor while disconnected from the controller (should spin relatively freely), and next check the phases by shorting 2 together (in each of the 3 possible co...

Re: Hall Effect Sensors For Crystalyte X5304

Hi Amberwolf. Thanks again for your input, as ever. I can confirm that the entire external of the X5304 is either steel or cast iron. It takes a good coat of etch prime. I will check out Mouser. I just thought that there might be some dudes here looking to sell these, that's why I asked here. Cheers...

Hall Effect Sensors For Crystalyte X5304

Yeah old old motor but a good motor and it's going to be salvaged. I've pulled it apart with the bearing puller and etch-primed all the bare steel on the covers. Now I need to replace the halls, as they were shafted by an accident. If anyone has some I will buy them and if they have the heatshrink t...
