Re: Battery Disconnect method.

Yes, it has two wires comming out ( only know because the break lever broke, but was able to dissect it) if the lever is broken, what are you replacing it with? and does the switch in it measure shorted when lever is pulled, or when lever is not pulled? need to know those to know which method would...

Re: Is there a BMS for only charging?

Yes, I meant independently of the OP use case, all the requirements for use fit my preferences just fine, just asking if build quality / reliability / accuracy is good or not? that i don't know. i think there are threads with people actually using them around here somewhere, but i don't remember wh...

Re: Help troubleshooting electric mini bike that intermittently blows fuses

more or less. the main thing is that if something is "built" for 36v 30a, many of the parts will be close to the edge for that usage scenario. but if something was built for 48v and 50a, but only used at 36v 30a, pretty much nothing will be run near their limits, so they will last longer and be much...

Re: Hall sensor confusion

are you testing with the motor controller connected and powered on? if not, the halls won't get the pullup voltage required to have valid hall signals (unless you do this yourself with a resistor). also, if you had cable damage, especially at the axle, and both phase and hall wires were damaged, the...

Why i must pay 500 $ for one little box of little electronic components...for 500$, i bought, and it's true, a new scooter 48V with 1000watt motor.
does that scooter do anything remotely close to what you want your dirtbike to do?

Re: How to built a 450CC RACE with similar weight power and torque like TACITA ?

As no one on this site manufactures controllers, there are several controller designers / builders here on es that have started from scratch; it's a long and expensive road to follow. ;) look aorund in the motor technology subforum, and there are a number of threads (and sets of threads) for variou...

Re: Voilamart 1500W Internal Controller and Amps

I have a UK made 48v battery which reads 88v fully charged. the first problem to fix is this. before you do anything else, change the battery in your voltmeter; a low one reads higher voltage than it should. if that doesnt' change the reading, then you will want to dispose of this dangerously overc...

Re: Changing switch brake levers to magnetic hydraulic sensors

what specificaly do you mean by 'magnet" and "switch"?

generally there are two kinds of sensor on ebrake levers. one is mechanical, a two wire switch. the other is electronic, a three wire hall sensor that acts like a switch but requires 5v power to operate.

how to make a proportional regen ebrake lever

this project is for those that don't want to use a throttle to control braking force, and prefer a brake lever (perhaps because it is what you're already used to on a bicycle for braking, and if you've ridden as long as i have, it's so hardwired it could take years to change the reflex action. in th...

if you have a plastic battery case on your bottle mounts, they can just rock the thing side to side really hard until it rips the bottle mounts off, or breaks teh plastic cradle. or they can use a screwdriver to pry the ultracheap diecast lock in the plastic housing apart. if that doesnt' work, they...

ditching the hubmotors would be to make stronger wheels, and lighter wheels, and easier to repair / replace / carry a spare i can just quickly install, for the very rare but very problematic flat or broken wheel from bad road conditions. i could use larger diameter wheels (regearing between wheel an...
